Job DescriptionAs a Production Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting producers in the development and execution of Olympic elements for the sales & marketing team. This will include athlete profiles, lookbacks, sport explainers and sizzles. While some work may be in the field, the majority of the Production Assistant's time will be spent in post production. This is a full-time staff position with an estimated end date in April 2026; the position remains at will. Responsibilities:
- Assist production personnel in all phases of creating Olympic and Paralympic feature, sales & marketing elements
- Organize all materials for edits (footage, sound, photos, music etc.)
- Assist Editor & Producer throughout edit process
- Track rights and music usage
- Assist in editing pieces, font coordination and sport, photo and video research where required
- Collaborate with producer on storytelling aspects of production
QualificationsBasic Requirements: - Bachelors' Degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum six (6) months' experience in production
Desired Characteristics: - Experience with non-linear editing; AVID is a plus
- Strong knowledge and interest in television production and storytelling; demonstrated appreciation for the Olympics
- Ability to quickly understand and assess opportunities and/or problems and respond with creative ideas and solutions
- Demonstrated background in contributing to complex projects
- Self-starter
- Must be a team player
- Extremely well organized
- Detail and deadline oriented
- Sharp eye for visuals and a fresh taste for music
