- Our show consists of filming in remote places, there are times the entire crew will have to sleep in individual tents or small cabins. Are you comfortable with this?
- One of the main responsibilities on set is to take production stills for clients. Are you confident in your photography?
- Are you confident in using Adobe Premiere and Photoshop?
Crawford Entertainment is looking for an experienced production assistant to join our team in the Lake Mary Area starting mid-February 2020. The Production Assistant will be working on multiple TV shows at once, assisting the Director, Producers, and Editors. PA will be working with a small crew when on set, so attention to detail, organization, and communication is very important.
Our shows are outdoor/adventure shows. We travel all over the state doing any and all outdoor activities. From snorkeling in the Keys to exploring stalagmites in Florida Caverns State Park. As our hosts do these activities - we are right there alongside them, so this production assistant will need to be up for being outside, getting a little dirty, and coming to set with the attitude to work hard and have fun.
Some of the tasks would include, but are not limited to:
• Assist Producers with general production needs.
• Assist with any prep for our shoot days (buying crafty, props, loading gear, managing media, etc.)
• On shoot days: drive crew, arrange lunch, facilitate any needs on-site, helping crew carry gear from vans to set, potential drone operation (if up for the challenge)
• Operating Go Pros for Facebook Lives & Social Media
• Taking production stills on set
• Weekly reconciliations of credit cards and petty cash
• Experienced in booking hotels, rental cars, etc.
• Obtaining releases on set and filing accordingly
Past credits as a field/production assistant required. Applicants must have a valid driver's license. There will be some in-state travel required, but all travel costs will be covered by production. Experience in post-production using Adobe Premiere and Photoshop a plus.
This is a 4-month contract with the potential to be extended throughout the summer into the fall production season.
