Job Description
Role Purpose:
The Production Assistant is responsible for assisting producers and editors in the development and execution of Olympic feature elements which will include long form, short form, and historic lookbacks. The primary focus of these pieces will be sponsored or promotional in nature. This position will be focused on post-production with the possibility of an occasional field or studio assignment.
This is a part-time project / limited term position with an estimated duration of 12-18 months unless otherwise amended.
Responsibilities:
- Assist production personnel in all phases of creating Olympic and Paralympic feature, sales & marketing elements
- Organize all materials for edits (footage, sound, photos, music etc.)
- Assist Editor & Producer throughout edit process
- Track rights and music usage
- Assist in editing pieces, font coordination and sport, photo and video research where required
- Curate library of produced elements
- Collaborate with producer on storytelling aspects of production

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $19.48-25.00 per hour for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

We are looking for a passionate Production Assistant to join Your World with Neil Cavuto. You are a team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. You will have a great sense of communication and have the ability to work well on a team. You are comfortable working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You are someone who is a quick learner. You should have an interest in news and would like to pursue a career in the television news business.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cut video for segments
- Facilitate graphic and video elements for the show
- Research and compile pre-interview/ research packets
- Pitch story ideas
- Book guests for show segments
**** YOU **** NEED
- Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
- Basic knowledge of newsroom functions
- Familiarity with digital editing platforms, such as Dalet and iNews
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong social *** skills
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines
