Do you want to be a part of the fastest growing sport in the world? Seeking full-time assistant (including evenings and weekends) for busy media reporter covering MMA and bare knuckle boxing events. The role comprises social media management, assisting with production preparation, managing and updating client’s website, and miscellaneous remote PA responsibilities.

About the company
Must Love MMA is the flagship company of Emmy Award-winning reporter Susan Cingari. Focusing exclusively on combat sports, particularly bare knuckle boxing and MMA, the company covers combat sports events and fighters with videos for online distribution.
Required skills and duties:
SOCIAL MEDIA
— Instagram is the primary account so familiarity with the platform is strongly preferred
— Daily posting on Instagram (scheduled via Later) including sourcing appropriate images and news items to share
— General management and upkeep of all social media profiles (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook), including commenting and interacting with other users
YOUTUBE
— Client publishes video content from Skype interviews and live events via YouTube, therefore ability to use this platform is critical
— Assistant will be responsible for proofing videos for spelling and audio quality, writing titles, descriptions, and tags, and publishing and promoting the videos via social media
WEBSITE
— WordPress CMS using Gutenberg editor, knowledge of both is preferred
— Post daily news articles, press releases, and videos, update plugins/themes and monitor site security
INTERVIEW PREPARATION
— Create and maintain Airtable bases for interview schedule, research subjects and compile video and photo elements, contact subjects to schedule interviews
LIVE EVENT COVERAGE
— Typically once every 4-6 weeks, Wednesday through Saturday, wrapup is around 3-4am ET on event night
— Review and post new videos immediately via YouTube and cross-promote on social media and website
— Photo editing abilities to create new thumbnails for YouTube videos on short notice is preferred, template background is provided
MISCELLANEOUS
— General research and administration tasks as requested
The candidate must be familiar with Dropbox, Google Suite, Airtable, Microsoft Word and Excel, or be able to learn new programs quickly. Ability to create and publish posts/videos on WordPress and YouTube is essential. Knowledge of Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, and of scheduling platforms to post on social media, particularly Later but also Buffer and Hootsuite, strongly preferred.
Ideally, the candidate will also have a general understanding of copyright law (particularly fair use), SEO, and basic photo-editing abilities and software (GIMP, Photoscape etc. are acceptable).
This is a great opportunity for a highly organized self-starter to work with a dynamic, independent media team in a new and growing sporting niche. Limited training will be provided for software, posting strategy and standards, copyright etc., however applicants are expected to be able to conduct their own research and work independently.
