We are currently seeking a Production Assistant to learn and grow within our team. The ideal candidate will express an interest in storytelling. Sports offer hugely inspiring story lines across the globe. We are looking for someone to embrace this with us and work hard as part of a team of passionate journalists and producers. This individual will work in both our Santa Monica and Culver City offices.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Pull footage, photos, and music selects for feature pieces
• Prepare and assists with camera and gear for local, domestic, and international shoots
• Support feature producers in the field
• Create links in various resolutions and formats and post on digital platforms
• Deliver drives and tapes to multiple Tennis Channel facilities
• Manage *** after shoots and throughout the various tennis tournaments
• Prepares for live events (Australian Open, Roland Garros, Wimbledon, US Open and domestic tournaments: BNP Paribas Open, Volvo Car Open, Citi Open) by organizing drives, and shipment boxes

Qualifications :

• Accessible transportation for errands and runs with situational weekend availability
• Experience using Avid, Adobe Premier, and Final Cut Pro is a plus
• Previous experience logging *** and pulling footage
• Keen attention to detail
• Sharp focus, adaptable, self-motivated, and driven personality
• Comfortable taking direction from multiple producers and editors
• Comfortable taking ownership and responsibility for delegated work
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 25 lbs. of gear and equipment

JOB DESCRIPTION
The *** Sports Highlights Department is looking for a Part-time Freelance Production Assistant to join our Los Angeles team. Our Sports Highlights department is responsible for creating content for downstream clients/production teams. They also edit packages across multiple core sports for an array of studio and remote programs and destinations (including *** *** Sunday, MLB & College Football Studio Shows, Deportes, Sports News Edge, etc.)

As a Part-time Freelance Production Assistant, you will assist in the production of live and taped shows by ensuring a robust library of content is accompanied by accurate metadata in our MAM.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilize applicable editing and *** systems to log live sporting events and write talent scripts correlating to sports Highlights
• Organize, clip, and tag footage (Melts, Ground Reels, Week in Reviews, etc.) in both Quantel and Dalet libraries
• Communicate with production teams to determine daily highlight requirements
• Collaborate with Regional Coordinators to ensure highlights are fed to the regions in a timely manner

*** Sports is looking to add a Freelance Production Assistant to our Digital Talent and Storytelling team in Los Angeles, CA. The Freelance Production Assistant will work within the *** Sports creative team to oversee multi *** talent franchises, shows, and other personality-based content. You will be responsible for assisting digital producers with show preparation, graphic production, sharing VOD, and much more. You will primarily work on cross-platform shows and franchises while also collaborating very closely with social producers, the editorial team, the technical operations team, and the edit team.

The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles is $42,930 to $59,028 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

Job Description

Perform duties for production of live and taped programming including but not limited to: Audio, Ross Overdrive and Xpression graphics, robotic cameras, news editing, ingest and monitor commercials to external and internal servers. Tune in live shots to coordinate ENG remotes - communicate with newsroom to identify field crews live locations and work with them to establish and tune in live shots. A successful candidate will be a team-focused, results driven individual who is able to work effectively with limited guidance while pursing our station's goals.

Essential Functions

May be responsible for newscast editing, tuning in live shots and ingesting video or commercials or assisting in the operation of automated production equipment including Ross Cambots, Ross Overdrive and Xpression.

Participate in live and taped field operations for special events, on site and remote productions. Operate ENG style cameras, assist with microwave capability/ setup of equipment for production of live and taped programming.

Monitor and be actively involved with quality assurance; responsible for on-air readiness and pre-show equipment checks. Take a hands-on role in the care and upkeep of production *** , broadcast equipment including but not limited to studio cameras, set pieces, lighting and audio equipment.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

2 years previous related production work in one or more of the following areas including but not limited to Audio, Automated Production Control broadcast, Production Graphics, Non-Linear video editing, Production and ENG camera operation.
