Production Coordinator for busy kids studio to bring strong organization skills to team of production executives & producers. We are producing short form content for kids, for cable, streaming, and digital platforms. Production is both in-house and outside vendors. Your responsibilities would include:
- Finance (processing and tracking talent and crew payroll)
- Legal (drafting & tracking contract request)
- Research (identifying and on-boarding new talent - potential production partners and directors)
- Asset Management (requesting, tracking creative assets from series and movies)
- Project Management (keeping calendar of all projects, with staff and vendor assignments, deadlines)

You would work directly with other departments, including Talent Relations, Creative Marketing, Creative Services, Post Production, Programming, Animation.

Opportunity to share your expertise, learn new skills and expand your network while serving a vital role in a respected company.

Primary Responsibilities:

Research and file for permits as needed
Research local production guidelines for compliance
Arrange resources and logistical support as necessary for production
Maintain and update departmental crew lists
Initiate Payroll Paperwork to Freelance Crew and DayPlayers
Follow-up to ensure that Start Paperwork is completed in advance of work
Follow-up to ensure that Timecards are submitted in a timely manner
Maintain and update departmental contact, vendor, and resource lists.
Initiate Purchase Orders for expenses
Track and report expenses, code & process invoices, and reconcile PCards.
Maintain various departmental shoot calendars, spreadsheets, reports, and documents.
Archive production documents such as call sheets, wrap reports, and releases, and follow-up as necessary with production teams to ensure business requirements are being met and delivered in a timely manner.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of relevant Production Management experience in the television, media, or digital video production realm required

DUTIES:

Administer weekly Production Dept. staff and facilities scheduling. Includes scheduling IATSE Stagecraft, Director, AD and Material Management staff. Update schedules daily as required and digitally generate and post via Microsoft Teams.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in film, television, communications, marketing, management, or related field
Must have experience in live television, scheduling, production, or related field, preferably Production Coordinator experience.
Internship experience at television stations or production companies are an asset.
Must be extremely proficient in administrative tasks and on a PC - Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and OneDrive are musts.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment. Attention to detail and ability to rapidly prioritize daily tasks and administrative responsibilities.
Familiarity with all aspects of studio and remote production operations, and effective and concise communication.

The group is an integral team across the manufacturing cycle, overseeing the production of thousands of titles annually. Some of the group's key duties include title and metadata management, manufacturing, and inventory management.

This role supports the publishing manufacturing process; working with external vendors and coordinating with internal lines of business to produce a variety of printed materials, with a focus on our trades and hardcover business. This includes the responsibility for coordinating Marvel's weekly comic production workflow. The candidate would be responsible for tracking and following up on all stakeholder approvals before sending the books to production. We are looking for a Production Coordinator, who will provide support specifically for the Director and Original Productions team. You will review elements of budgets, schedules and scripts to assist the diligence process as required. Organising building passes and any additional required passes
