About the role:
The Project Coordinator will help manage and oversee creative development on projects, from inception to completion, assuming responsibility for day-to-day management on the production side. You will be expected to build and nurture relationships with film crews on a global scale.
We’re looking for someone who has the ability to develop sources and maintain contacts, and pursue leads that result in original stories. The candidate would also be responsible for running teams to conduct research.
The ability to rise under pressure and manage your own time effectively are qualities that go a long way in this role. Other key attributes in ensuring that projects are delivered at the highest quality, on time and on budget are the ability to stay organized, personable, detail-oriented, and proactive.
*This is a temporary contracted position. Our studio is located in Chelsea and we’re open 10am-6pm but hours are ultimately determined by the projects on hand
Role and Responsibilities:
Manage the process and workflow within each project’s parameters; this includes planning, schedules, sourcing/booking film crews globally, managing production budgets, and making sure our shoots run smoothly
Understanding the process through all stages of the production, from pre-production to final delivery
Understanding all the steps and assets required for each project, as well as available resources to ensure deadlines are met, budgets are maintained, and the finished product surpasses expectations
Scout and manage teams locally and in other cities. Clearly brief crew members on what to expect and coordinate their paperwork (contracts, invoices, etc)
Assist in casting, from casting calls to pre-screening talent and subject matter experts
Assist in location scouts (digital and in-person), therefore, understanding what to look for in a location
Negotiate with vendors in relation to productions
Requirements:
Must have experience working full time at a video production house
Experience at a Digital/advertising/marketing agency is a plus
Strong social and communication skills
Strong familiarity of creative applications
Creative and strategic mindset - bring your own problem solving skills to the table
Ability and drive to self-start and work well independently, as well as collaborate favorably in a team environment
Has a high standard in the work they produce, always pushing beyond the scope of the project
Good with Excel and Budgeting
Time management skills*
Must be willing and able to work in person at our studio
Must be willing and able to travel for work
