Oversee the construction of sets. Once built, coordinate with the set decorators to ensure they are dressed appropriately with props, furniture, and other elements.
Collaborating with Other Departments:

Work with the costume designer to ensure that costumes complement the sets and overall production design.
Collaborate with the director of photography (DP) to discuss how the sets and locations will be lit, ensuring that the designs will be showcased in their best light.

On-Set Presence:

Be present on set, especially on the days when new locations or sets are being used, to oversee any last-minute changes or adjustments.
Address any concerns that might arise from the director or other departments about the sets or props.

Wrap-Up:

Once shooting is completed, oversee the process of striking sets, which means taking them down and ensuring everything is returned, recycled, or stored as needed.
Ensure that rented or borrowed items, especially props, are returned in proper condition.

***NOTE*** ALL props and set dressing (which often overlap) have already been designed, acquired, prepped, and sorted neatly into marked bins. The job only requires daily on-set implementation of props/dressing assignment and maintenance. Production will provide a detailed property bible breaking down each day's scenes, props, and set dressing. The props master is considered the department key.

Applicants for the position should have prior experience working in the art department (preferably as a set dresser) on a feature film. Contracted duties for the position will encompass all industry standards for the position, including maintaining orderly custody of set dressing, organizing dressing for the day's shoot, placement on sets as needed, any last-minute adjustments during filming, returning dressing to their storage containers at end of day, etc.

We are filming in Las Vegas, New Mexico, and the greater San Miguel County area, for two and a half weeks in October. Locations are mixed interior and exterior. Production provides three catered meals daily (four on the handful of overnights scheduled) and clean, comfortable accommodations on a most favored nations basis with the film's producers. The production has been designed to allow maximum turnaround in minimal company moves (hotel stays the same through production, base camp moves twice.)

At *** land® Resort, the Carpenter position constructs, erects installs, and repairs structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter's hand tools and power tools, conforming to local building codes and regulations. Work includes, building props and sets, framing, hanging windows and doors, decorations, locks, floor work, cutting material, shaping material, stripping and treating material, preparation of work surfaces, and other tasks expected of the trade.

Basic Qualifications:

Schedule Availability:

Must be available to work holidays, weekends and overtime when requested

Experience required in the following areas:

Reading blueprints and drawings to extract information such as material requirements and structure dimensions
Performing layout preparation using measurement tools with the ability to accurately mark materials for cutting and assembly
Fastening materials properly with nails, dowel pins, screws, bolts, or glue
Erection of framework for structures including the laying of subflooring, building stairs, and laying out and installing partitions and cabinet work.
Fitting and installation of window frames, doors, door framing, weather stripping, trim and finish hardware (locks, kick plates, etc...)
Erection of scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
Design and fabrication of props and other show-support items within budget and time constraints
Working knowledge of 3-D design methods
Design of specialty windows and other show props/sets to build themed show items

Additional Information:

Those assigned to the Carpenter position are required to attend an annual Respiratory Protection training class, Lead Awareness training class and a Hearing Conservation training class. They are also required to submit to an annual fit test, medical evaluation, chest x-ray, physical exam, audiometric exam, and a semi-annual Lead/Zinc blood test.

SCHEDULE AVAILABILITY
Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; Shifts may start as early as 5:00 AM, while some may end as late as 5:00 AM.
This roles is Full Time and requires full availability, including working evenings, weekends and holidays when needed.

Job Summary:

The Art Director will be responsible for idea development, creative planning & execution, leading teams big and small and at times contributing hands-on to the design language of *** 's programming for live events & studio shows as well as the E+ platform. This includes show branding, insert graphic builds, live action shoots, editor-executed design systems and large format animation design campaigns.

Responsibilities:

Create industry leading work that i *** uences and inspires the design & animation team.
Oversight of design campaigns for live sporting events & studio shows.
Directing insert graphic systems that are engineered for long-term success.
Leading advanced animation builds through next level ideation and articulation of direction.
Implementation and execution of editorial creative for features, content packages and live action elements.
Prepare and present the creative to internal and external stakeholders.
Improve upon the design system infrastructure of our linear design campaigns.
Work with our Animation and Graphics Playout, Creative Operations, Music, and Post Edit teams to ensure collaborative success.
Contributions of creative leadership across *** Creative Studio.

Qualifications:

10+ years of professional experience working within a creative studio or *** organization.
In-depth knowledge of motion graphics, animation principles/techniques and render engines.
Experience in live action environments and turning.
Experience in leading large insert graphic builds.
An advanced understanding of the common behaviors of deliverables for live television.
A complete understanding of typography, composition, hierarchy, and balance.
Comfort and experience in leading teams and presenting to Sr. leadership.
Fluent with Adobe Creative Suite & Cinema 4D.
Proven project management skills with ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines.
Reliable work-from-home setup with strong internet connection.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of the sports design space, trends, and an understanding of *** 's place amongst the competition.

Compensation:
The hiring range for this remote position is $92,00 to $170,812 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
