The Director of Production, Branded Video must understand the nuances of creating custom video content for brands across the Lifestyle, Beauty, Retail, Pharma, & Finance categories. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be a diplomat when working with internal and external stakeholders. This role will report to the *** President of Branded Video. In this role, you will oversee the production process for branded video content, from brainstorming ideas to final delivery. Working closely with the VP of Branded Video Production, you will ensure that all branded video content is produced to the highest possible standard, delivered on time, and within budget.
Essential Job Functions Responsibilities 60% - Prioritize and delegate campaign responsibilities, field RFPs, lead meetings, and multitask across the various branded campaigns and teams
- Attend IKOC to record information for accounting, pricing, and production to ensure all data is up-to-date
- Manage budgets ensuring that all video projects stay within budget and communicate with the *** President of Branded Video and other Directors of Production on any overages or deficits for further action
- Collaborate with *** President of Branded Video on the production process
- Ensure work is evenly distributed with bandwidth, experience levels, and expertise accounted for
- Set and communicate deadlines across the department
- Ensure the production team is working collaboratively, constructively, efficiently and following processes and procedures.
- Implement the production strategy for branded video production in collaboration with the VP of Branded Video Production
- Onboard new video producers ensuring protocol is followed
- Build trust with the team and give feedback when needed
- Keep the team on track and working toward its goals of innovation, repeat business, and revenue growth
30% - Oversee multiple, simultaneous production budgets, timelines, and wrap reports
- Cultivate relationships with external vendors and freelancers as necessary.
- Problem-solve production challenges as they arise relating to budgets, logistics, and schedules
- Flexible, nimble decision-making and the ability to inspire confidence in a rapidly changing environment
- Oversees time management of campaigns and holds teams accountable
10% - Increases portfolio of external partners
- Ability to fill resource needs for the department
- Return and Incremental Revenue focused when strategically problem solving for production
Qualifications and Job RequirementsEducation- B.A. or B.S. is preferred, but not required.
Experience- Minimum of 8 years experience in a managerial position in *** at a network, digital company, or creative agency. Must be professional, diplomatic, and with a collaborative spirit.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Prior people and team management experience
- Proficient in Airtable and other organization tools: Dropbox, G-drive, etc.
- Must have industry standards regarding average crew rates, rental rates, etc.
- Must be results-oriented, focusing on client satisfaction and return business.
- Must be highly organized and able to communicate effectively; verbally, in writing, and in person.
- Must be able to work well with senior leadership across the organization.
- Must have the ability to make quick decisions confidently.
- Must be able to multitask and track multiple campaigns and projects.

Pay Range Salary: $112,000 - $140,000
The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash *** 's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
