Entering its second program cycle, the Community Storytellers program at Full Spectrum Features has selected three North and South Lawndale participants (“Storytellers”) for the 2023-24 cohort.

Full Spectrum is currently accepting applications for a Production Manager to manage a 2-day shoot. As a Production Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the logistical aspects of the production. You will work closely with the production team, ensuring seamless coordination and efficient resource management. Your strong organizational and leadership skills will be crucial in maintaining schedules, managing budgets, and ensuring the successful completion of projects.

ABOUT COMMUNITY STORYTELLERS:
Community Storytellers elevates the narratives of Chicago residents by adapting community-driven stories into short films.

With the help of film professionals, three participants are selected to translate their stories into a motion picture while organizing a series of meaningful events that mobilize their neighborhoods and spark awareness. This yearlong process culminates in a powerful film showcase that celebrates the legacy of their community — past, present, and future.



RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Onboard crew through Wrapbook Payroll Software
-Collaborate with the production team to develop production plans and schedules
-Set up the production office and oversee the day-to-day operations of the production unit, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
-Coordinate with various departments, such as art, costume, and set design, to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
-Manage contracts with vendors, suppliers, and crew members.
-Monitor and control production expenditures, keeping accurate records and providing regular financial reports.
-Manage crafty and catering services
-Handle logistics and coordinate resources, including equipment, locations, and personnel.
-Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and union regulations throughout the production process.
-Troubleshoot production-related issues and provide timely solutions to minimize disruptions.
-Collaborate with the production accountant to track and reconcile expenses, ensuring accurate cost reporting.
-Manage and update the production booklet
-Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all departments involved in production.
-Liaise with external stakeholders, such as location owners, to secure and exhibit necessary permits and clearances.
-Oversee the distribution and archiving of production materials and documentation.

GUIDELINES & ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

-have 3+ years experience in film production
-proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role in the film or television industry.

Looking for a local Production Manager in Chicago, IL. Must have extensive experience working feature documentaries.

In need of a Production Manager for an upcoming Design project filming in Los Angeles to start as early as Monday, 4/15. On-Set schedule as of now is M-F, with occasional hours on Saturday possible / as needed. Rate based on experience.

Looking for a Production Manager with extensive experience in the field working on verite documentary experience. Important to note that we are often filming gaming competitions, so are looking for someone who is experienced working in these fast paced environments.

Will be asked to go into the field with crew on shoots.

Weekly rate in that range.

Seeking Field Production Manager for a show shooting internationally this summer. This is a field position on an outdoor / adventure program shooting in remote parts of the world where we may find ourselves without phone or internet service, quick/easy access to food or water, or accommodations other than a tent. Applicants should have relevant experience and know how to safely execute productions in extreme environments with limited resources and support staff. This is a fast-paced show with a lot of moving parts shooting 6-7 days per week some weeks, no fewer than 5 days other weeks.

Team Structure:
15 field crewpersons
5 castmembers
4 support staff in office (Producers, Production)

Job Description includes but not limited to:
-Set Operations and Logistics
-Call Sheet and Production Report creation and distribution
-Petty cash and P Card reconciliation
-Managing Safety Officer / Medic to ensure safe set operations, Safety POAs including proper Risk Assessment and Management and Response Plans for each location where we're filming
-Working with travel coordinator to assist with travel coordination
-Wearing other hats as minimally needed on set, such as assisting with moving / setting up gear, helping with minimal props and wardrobe, etc.
-Working with catering company to ensure meal schedules, allergies, orders, etc.
-Working with crew to ensure department needs are met
-Assisting with work visas, carnets, and customs

-have relevant work experience on a minimum of 2 shows in past 5 years with similar remote conditions
-have minimum of 5 years experience as Production Manager in unscripted television
-have worked with Risk Assessment companies and developed Safety Plans of Action for filming locations
-have ability to think quickly on feet and make strategic decisions to execute the creative of the show safely and effectively
-be a team player willing to wear multiple hats and help each department as necessary
