Production Resource Manager | Los Angeles, CA

What You’ll Do:
As the Production Resource Manager working within ATTN:’s Production Operations team, you will be tasked with resourcing and onboarding personnel across several functions within the Production Department, including Physical Production, Project Management, Design, Animation, and Post-Production.
Working in conjunction with the Project Management team, the Production Resource Manager partners with functional leads to forecast, recruit, and assign sufficient and suitable resources to projects. You will also be responsible for ensuring balanced workloads and resolving resource conflicts across a large group of production staff. You must be extremely comfortable sourcing and managing between 20-30 resources simultaneously. You must be able to pivot, switch-focus, and remain motivated in a fast-paced environment. This is a team that must remain nimble and ready to shift at a moment’s notice. We are seeking a curious, flexible, personable, dynamic leader who loves people and process. The responsibilities include:
- Create and manipulate data and figures for forecasting, planning, and effective resource allocation
- Assign projects to Supervising Producers based on forecasts, bandwidth, and specialties
- Create and maintain a database of freelancers and vendors, including rates
- Maintain constant knowledge of project status and shifts in scope and priorities
- Host weekly check-ins with key stakeholders to ensure efficient assignment of all projects
- Identify excessive or under-utilization of resources and resolve any potential resource gap areas
- Lead weekly resource meetings reviewing and presenting slate of incoming work
- Review candidate portfolios/resumes with a view to skillset match for open roles
- Work with Production, Payroll, Facilities, and IT to onboard freelance personnel quickly and efficiently
- Support partners with quarterly and fiscal year planning by forecasting future hiring and freelance needs
- Mediate resource sharing issues with functional leads
- Ensure the successful on-boarding/off-boarding of all employees (FTE, vendors, and freelancers)
- Shape resource management tools, systems and templates; constantly striving to improve processes and workflow standardization
Key Qualifications:
- 6+ years relevant experience in a resource or project management role within an agency, studio, network, or production company
- Proficient with a project resourcing system and have evangelized its use with your business partners
- Have a solid knowledge of production, post-production, design, and animation processes
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and fluid environment and are able to understand complex project requirements, understand briefs, and recognize potential risks and dependencies relevant to resourcing
- Experienced in resource planning, allocation, and assignments
- Are curious, flexible problem-solver. You are also fair, kind, collaborative and a trusted confidant of confidential and sensitive information.
- Possess extraordinary communication skills, organizational skills, and people management skills are a must (this role requires a high level of patience, diplomacy, and fortitude, and a strong voice in a fast moving, ever changing environment)

Preferred qualifications:
- An extended network of production, post-production, design, and animation talent
- Proficient in Google Suite
- Experience using project management software such as Smartsheet
- Clear and concise communication in both written and verbal form
- Detail oriented and able to work autonomously
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload across multiple groups
