Job Title Production Manager, Performance Content
Job Description The HThe Production Manager will join a central team of writers, editors, and producers that create performance driven content across 19+ *** brands including People, Real Simple, Health, Shape, and *** ter Homes & Gardens. Our team is focused on eCommerce content and branded performance content, and now we are working to build out a performance content division dedicated to lead generation content.
We are looking for a Production Manager to monitor and manage performance content production queues, troubleshoot workflow inefficiencies and produce and image a high volume of content, with an eye toward revenue, engagement, traffic and user experience.
The Production Manager must have experience producing content in various CMS's and editing images. An interest in performance content is a plus, and there may be opportunities to write content depending on experience. This person must be technically minded, a multi-tasker, and able to juggle multiple style guides.
Essential Job Functions- Work with writers and editors on a daily basis to produce content in various content management systems for multiple brands
- Source, process and upload hero and secondary images according to brand specs and style guidelines
- Manage operational tasks (obtaining CMS access for users, communicating process changes, enforcing department procedures and processes, maintain content tracking reports and team process documentations)
- Work alongside our Managing Editor and other producers on the team to manage daily production and editorial workflows
- Collaborate with editors and various teams across *** including SEO and Performance Marketing to grow revenue and traffic on our lead gen content
- Create affiliate links for content when needed
- Assist the Managing Editor in troubleshooting and logging technical issues and performing user acceptance testing.
- Attend weekly meetings
Job Requirements Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, or related field
Experience:
- 3+ years experience at a content publisher, ideally in production management.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must haves:
- The ability to handle a high volume of content with precision and speed while adhering to numerous brand style guides and production workflows.
- Basic Photoshop skills with a keen understanding of file formats, optimization and processing (cropping, resizing, color correction and silhouetting).
- A solid command of HTML, CSS and web best practices at large.
- Comfort with analytics or willingness to learn.
- Meticulous attention to detail, highly organized, precise, proactive, and a team player.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to formulate actionable strategies.
- Comfort working in a fast paced and matrixed organization.
- Familiar with the *** portfolio
