We’re looking for a Production Manager to join the team at Priorities USA. This person will manage production across multiple campaigns to defeat Donald Trump in 2020. As part of our mission, we’re launching one of the largest persuasion and mobilization campaigns in politics – a year-round effort to talk to key groups of voters regardless of where we are in the election cycle.

As the Production Manager for Priorities USA, you will serve as a valued partner to the Director of Production and the Supervising Producer by providing administrative support on all aspects of assigned projects, from greenlight to delivery. You will serve as a critical point of contact for projects assigned and use independent judgment to determine how all internal and external inquiries about projects should be handled. You will work closely with the SP to ensure budgets, timelines, and vendor agreements are created, managed, and executed in compliance with organizational standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build, manage and reconcile production, office, and equipment budgets; track vendor payments.
- Draft and execute vendor and freelance staff contracts, manage talent releases, and work with signatories to coordinate SAG contracts for talent.
- Participate in ongoing communication with production partners to ascertain the most accurate production information such as production schedule, shoot locations, spot descriptions and titles, disclaimers, scripts, graphics, etc.
- Manage and distribute production delivery schedules, shooting locations, vendor information, and other relevant updates using appropriate databases.
- Schedule staff and book travel across all production projects, including booking freelance crews.
- Create and manage a physical and a digital archival system for production documents.
- Juggle multiple projects and campaigns with parallel timelines.
- Arrange meetings, conferences, and brainstorms as requested.
- Work with Production Coordinator to create timelines
- Assist producers with research, fact checking, and subject recruitment.
- Participate in project brainstorms.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- At least five years of experience as a production assistant or coordinator, or equivalent experience in a digital media /
production / post production environment
- Excellent written and problem-solving skills
- Extremely organized and able to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to prioritize with
direction from department head and Producers
- Comfortable asking questions
- Takes initiative to anticipate team needs
- Basic understanding of video frame rates, formats, aspect ratios
- Basic understanding of pre production, production, and post production workflows
- Experience working in G-Suite and Excel
