In search of a studio savvy Production Manager for a daily live show.

We need a leader and a team player who is calm under pressure and able to make budget conscious and thoughtful decisions while multi-tasking in a unionized studio environment.

The ideal candidate will have an extensive crew rolodex and be very comfortable interfacing with staging and tech crew on a regular, and often times, daily basis.

This position is not for someone used to working in production models where they depend on a crewing desk or a network team outside of the production to book tech or stage crew.

We would look for them to take ownership of tasks assigned, be the main POC for tech needs, days off, schedule changes and questions, etc. and have a deep understanding of union rules (meal penalties, OT, short turnarounds, etc.) then ensure all rules are adhered to by the crew. The position should be forward thinking and have an ability to anticipate needs and then provide senior management with solutions as problems arise.

Other duties will include- interfacing with production team and ensuring remote needs through the studio are addressed, maintaining the crew calendar and daily call sheets, creating an extensive list of crew back ups for all studio positions, overseeing field shoots, and other tasks as assigned by senior management.
They must also be well versed in Google Drive and other document sharing applications.

The position requires being in studio up to 3 days a week- this is a job requirement. Our regular work week is generally- 60+ hours including some weekend work. If this schedule does not work for you- totally fine! But please don't apply if you are unable to work in studio or are not interested in working that number of hours per week.

The position is not for a new Production Manager but someone with at least 3 years of Production Manager experience with a comprehensive understanding of working in a studio environment.

Production Manager Position

At TCL Studios, we are building a team to create entertainment programs utilizing the latest AI technologies. To achieve this goal, we are recruiting Hollywood professionals with solid TV and film experience.

The AI technologies we utilize evolve on a regular basis. Currently, the workflows are similar to 3D animation, with some motion capture. There is a great deal of visualization to create the look of scenes. The key difference versus 3D animation, is that the tools are easier to use, but much less precise. The environment is fluid.

Production Management:
This is a broad production management role. In general, this person will manage the workflows associated with translating scripts into finished shows. This position will also be responsible for recruiting VFX, animation, visualization and AI talent from the Hollywood professional community --identifying and recruiting experienced, technically savvy pros with some exposure to AI.

Specifically for our productions, the keys roles are:

1. Supervise team in the execution of animated scenes.
