-Working with crew to ensure department needs are met
-Assisting with work visas, carnets, and customs

Job Description

The Production Manager for the Production & Operations department provides essential support on development and series 3rd party projects of various scales across the *** U portfolio including *** , *** , USA, Oxygen, Bravo, E! and SyFy. For each project, this individual will work closely with the Production & Operations Series Leads on driving the process forward from Pre-Production and Production through Post Production and Delivery.

Responsibilities:

Communicates directly with 3rd Party Production Companies to explain expectations with regard to pre-production, production, post production and delivery.
To understand and be able to communicate Network technical delivery specifications as well as make sure the 3rd party production companies have all insurance, health & safety, and production policies in place.
Act as liaison *** ween 3rd party production companies and all internal Network departments including legal, marketing, the broadcast facility as well as health and safety.
Review and stay on top of production and post production schedules for multiple projects
Review and approve pilot and series wrap bibles, ensuring that all materials are received and accurate
Ensure all deliverables are completed accurately and on-time and report any issues to senior management
Observe all department and company guidelines

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Work closely with Line Producers, PM staff, as well as, internal producers, and executives to examine the needs of each production
Create and supervise small to medium size production budgets and assist in ensuring all aspects of production run smoothly
Manage, review and update all production expenses on a regular and ongoing basis, keeping line producer and other production executives informed of all potential cost issues and final project actual
Work with line producers on production schedules to ensure all work stays inside budgetary boundaries and time constraints

The studio is utilizing its extensive expertise in creating persistent online worlds that foster powerful social gaming communities to develop its hit mobile game, Game of Thrones: Conquest.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Production Manager to join our team in the mobile strategy games genre. The ideal candidate has a strong background in game development, leadership skills, and a proven track record of producing successful mobile games. As a Senior Production Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the many aspects of production of our mobile games from conception to launch. You will work on developing production structures & processes to support cross-functional teams, including game designers, artists, programmers, and marketing teams, to ensure that our games meet high-quality standards and deliver an exceptional player experience. Also, you will help define the resourcing needs across teams, working closely with the EP and other functional leads. More broadly you will help define the project approach balancing scope, resources, and timelines.

Responsibilities:

Work with the EP to lead the production plan and the execution strategy of our mobile strategy games, from concept to launch and during live service
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resourcing needs
Partner with the creative vision holders of the game and the PM team to ensure that the game aligns with the product strategy and target play experience
Work closely with the game design and the PM teams to ensure that the game mechanics, storyline, and overall player experience are engaging and enjoyable
Lead cross-functional teams to keep execution on track, adjusting plans as needed; balance working efficiently, high-quality work, and worklife balance
Identify, track, and actively mitigate risks to the project goals or schedule
Manage product submissions and live operation requirements
Prioritize and distribute tasks, bugs, and cross-functional needs
Motivate the team, and foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and inclusivity

Qualifications:

7+ years working on mobile Free to Play games, with at least 2-3 shipped titles
Passionate about mobile Free to Play games and their development process
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written (word, powerpoint, etc.) and verbal
Excellent time management, coordination abilities, and work ethics.
Proven leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills. Ready to be in the trenches to solve day to day issues with strong attention to detail
Must be collaborative and an effective negotiator, and a resourceful and creative problem solver
Flexible project management style and adaptable to changing circumstances in order to adjust the project approach to evolving requirements
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to create project plans, manage resources, and coordinate multiple teams to deliver projects on time and within budget, leveraging project management software (JIRA, Trello, etc.)
Solid understanding of the technical aspects of mobile game development, including programming languages, development environments, and tools, including Agile, Lean, Waterfall, Kanban, etc.
Bachelor's Degree in Game Production, Product Management, or equivalent practical experience

Assist the director of production and producers as directed
Work with the director of production and crewing manager to determine and book live crew and travel
Coordinate and maintain live production schedules and calendars
Coordinate rentals and deliver all necessary equipment to complete live even productions
Provide quality control for all live events
Maintain live event equipment and ensure that all hardware and software are up to date

Job Skills and Requirements:

Experience in managing crew, live events, and post edit processes
Familiarity with camera and streaming equipment, as well as generators, boom lifts, and general staging assets
Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate others
Strong communication skills
The ability to travel with live event shows
The flexibility to work varying shifts

Experience:

At least 3 years of managerial experience with live events and post editing
Knowledge of and experience using AVID Interplay and Masstech archiving systems
