Hey there,

A PBS show in its 4th season is looking for a Production Manager to manage logistics for a small, traveling show. This position will report directly to the LP (I'm the one making this post). This position will primarily:

- Assist with Permitting
- Book travel
- Book local crew (mostly PA's)
- Manage PA's on set
- Help me remember the small details that help make life easier for our crew
- Track and manage receipts on set.
- General shoot prep and wrapout not listed above, but standard PM work in non-union television.

Depending on experience and workflow, this person will help me PO receipts, manage crew on set, etc. I think this is a great position for someone who has been Production Coordinating, and is ready to bump up as well. I will generally manage the overarching strategy, and this position will help with the execution.

I would like to have someone who brings a sense of calm to the Production. Little problems come up, but they are minor in the scheme of things, so someone who knows how to manage the hiccups of normal production with an easy-going attitude will be best. Someone who is detail-orientated will be an excellent addition to the team.

If you have an interest in Documentary filmmaking and docu-style television, this is a good position for you. This is a PBS show that travels across the U.S. and enters a lot of real-people's homes. If you're interested in telling real stories about real people, this could be a great fit.

Rate is $2000 / week. The Production Company is not the type to put someone on a weekly and then demand additional, unpaid work.

Seeking Field Production Manager for a show shooting internationally this summer.
