-Hiring, managing, and overseeing crew of 10+ and talent.
-Manages production schedule with EP and coordinates daily call sheet.
-Coordinates necessary travel arrangements.
-Secures and clears field locations as needed.
-Secures all necessary filming permits.
-Manages budget lines associated with field production.
-Ensures all field releases are complete and returned to production office for deliverables.
-Upholds and enforces company policies including health and safety protocol.

Must have a clean driving record and feel comfortable driving production vehicles. Must work well in a team and posses strong communication and time management skills.

CAI is one of the country’s leading organizations that builds the capacity of the public health workforce through research, training, and technical assistance. CAI produces videos as educational tools, shot in our New York City offices, and all over the country to support these capacity-building activities. We are seeking a Video Production Manager to help us keep up with the high-demand of video requests we are receiving from funders (e.g. CDC, HRSA, State Health Departments, etc.). GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Video Production Manager will work closely with a video production team (CAI’s video editing associate, project teams, communications team, external consultants), having the overall responsibility of managing/ coordinating all activities associated with the production of live videos from pre-production to post-production. This position requires someone who is highly organized and responsive with strong project management skills and attention to detail.

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with CAI staff to manage and coordinate all activities associated with the production of live videos across all projects at CAI, including:
• Maintaining ongoing oversight of the video development process, ensuring all components of video development (e.g. script development, selecting actors, securing filming locations, shooting schedules, day-of-filming, editing/post-production, graphics, etc.) follow CAI’s process and go through the appropriate staff for approval
• Coordinating, preparing, and managing video production meetings, including initial and regular follow-up meetings to discuss video development details (e.g. planning, next steps, roles/responsibilities, timelines, shooting schedules, budgets)
• Communicating with CAI staff, actors, voiceover artists, filming location contacts, and consultants regarding all video production activities to ensure that everyone on the team is informed on the status of different aspects of the video production process
• Working with project teams to provide leadership and guidance on selecting actors, voiceover artists, and filming locations
• Providing coordination and management of all video production logistics and activities on the day-of-filming, including supports such as the set up and break down of set and equipment
• Monitoring and tracking past and current consultants, actors, voiceover artists, filming locations, etc. used
• Tracking and processing video production invoices, ensuring that actors, voiceover artists, consultants, and other vendors associated with the film development get paid
• Supporting CAI staff with the development of other videos that may be required (e.g. pre-recorded Zoom video to be shown during a training)
• Other duties as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years proven experience managing the development of products, materials, and/or videos
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Zoom or other virtual meeting software
• Interest in learning about video production and public health

COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000. CAI offers a generous benefits package including:

Multiple Production Managers needed for a returning true crime series.

This PM would be focused on the recreation side of the series. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Working with producers to assess needs for each episode
- Hiring crew for each episode
- Arranging travel for producers & crew as needed
- Facilitating communication between departments to
- Creating and distributing call sheets & PRs
- Overseeing COVID testing and ensuring protocol is communicated to all crew
- New hire start paperwork
- Processing POs

Condé Nast Entertainment is looking for a Production Manager for our Branded Content production team. This position will be remote, but may work out of our office in lower Manhattan 2-3 days per week..

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Working with producers to book crew, locations and vendors
Processing standard production payments (payroll, invoices and wires)
Updating and wrapping project cost trackers
Generating agreements with our business and legal affairs team
Processing permits, COIs and carnet as needed
Reviewing and approving budgets

Production Manager needed for a new season of a returning TLC docu/reality series. Weâ??ll be filming with cast families located in 5 different cities.

This person will work directly with the Showrunner to oversee all organizational aspects of front end production planning, scheduling, and to certain aspects of budget tracking. This job can be done remotely, but youâ??ll be managing crews across the country.

Must be organized and have very strong attention to detail. Must have a strong understanding of field production and location shooting.

- Call sheet creation and distribution based on schedules created by Producers and Unit Managers in the field
- Production report approval and distribution, created by Unit Managers in field
Staffing of crews for trips to the field. Field teams include 1 Producer, 1 DP, 1 Utility, 1 Audio Mixer, 1 Unit Manager (Local PAs booked on case-by-case basis when approved by production for larger-scale day)
- Onboarding of all crew hires - sending out deal memos, background checks
- Manage all field crew tasks and movements, ensure media drives are sent and received
- Protocols - ensure field crew is briefed on all production and working with minor protocols
- Manage and track show releases
Vendor management for gear rentals, hotels, service providers
- Financials - approval and submission of invoices, Cashet, petty cash to EIC and accounting team
- Timecard collection and approval for all field crew
- Assist with setup for the showâ??s reunion shoot

Essential Duties

Research shoot locations, and obtain necessary location permissions
Conduct sight surveys, hire vendors, arrange travel, and assemble crews
Support brand writers, producers, and directors on planning and coordinating future production needs
With Director of Production, help budget projects, as well as control/negotiate/track actuals
Handle budget negotiation with project vendors
Prepare production plans, schedules, and milestones
Anticipate areas of potential savings or overages
Liaise between producers and internal departments as needed
Liaise with legal and finance for production-related questions and needs, such as start paperwork and vendor agreements
Make sure productions obtain appropriate legal documentation (e.g. COIs, appearance/material/location agreements)

Requirements


Minimum 2+ years hands-on experience in production management or line producing
Prior experience with financial budgeting, forecasting and management of budgets
Ability to execute on production plans
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
Exhibits knowledge of production operations and planning
Proficient in Google Suite
Knowledge of health and safety requirements
Willingness to travel as needed

Responsibilities

* Overseeing all day-to-day physical production; you report directly to the EVP and oversee the production team, budget and schedule.
* You work with the Supv. producer and Showrunner to come up with the most efficient production plan for shoots
* Oversee the call sheets and production report process
* Track shooting costs and keeps the team on budget
* Negotiates crew hires (rates and deal terms) and sets up hires in payroll. Manages payroll for field crew,
* Manages all technical / media / equipment rentals and bidding
* Ensure that there is an efficient media-workflow between the field and post, and that this is communicated to all parties
* Ensures that there is an efficient release-workflow between the field and production office, and that this is communicated to all parties.
* Oversee the execution of all production logistics:
- This includes travel, hotel, vehicle rentals, camera approvals, equipment orders, etc.
* Processes other vital production documentation such as call sheets, permits, insurance, contracts, equipment, etc.
* You are the main point of contact for all field issues, whether medical, technical, etc.
* You work very closely with the local producing team to ensure that all production practices are happening efficiently (releases, accounting, travel, permits, hiring practices, etc)

Other Requirements and Qualifications:

- 2+ years of work experience in non-scripted documentary production
- 2+ years of work experience in a production management role
- An extensive understanding and firsthand experience for all production processes of premium content
- Strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills are required
- Strong decision-making and management skills
- Ability to collaborate and contribute in an adaptive team environment
- Ability to effectively prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment
