2nd season of an Animal Planet series that films primarily in San Diego is looking for a multi-tasking Production Manager. Duties include, but not limited to:

-Manage 2 crews in the field at different locations day-to-day
-Track petty cash & Amex purchases, receipts, expense reports
-Oversee and ensure that appearance releases, location releases from field is done
-Hire field crew as needed
-Prepare and send daily call sheets (along with daily production reports)
-Coordinate with PAs for lunch everyday
-Maintain communication with the production team in the New York office
-Secure filming permits as needed
-Ensure production stills are done for each episode

Film 5 days a week with FULL shoot days.
Production will cover travel/lodging during filming.

Start end of January. Principal wraps end of May.

Job Description includes but not limited to:
-Set Operations and Logistics

-Managing Safety Officer / Medic to ensure safe set operations, Safety POAs including proper Risk Assessment and Management and Response Plans for each location where we're filming
-Working with travel coordinator to assist with travel coordination
-Wearing other hats as minimally needed on set, such as assisting with moving / setting up gear, helping with minimal props and wardrobe, etc.
-Working with catering company to ensure meal schedules, allergies, orders, etc.
-Working with crew to ensure department needs are met
-Assisting with work visas, carnets, and customs

Applicants must:
-have relevant work experience on a minimum of 2 shows in past 5 years with similar remote conditions
-have minimum of 5 years experience as Production Manager in unscripted television
-have worked with Risk Assessment companies and developed Safety Plans of Action for filming locations
-have ability to think quickly on feet and make strategic decisions to execute the creative of the show safely and effectively
-be a team player willing to wear multiple hats and help each department as necessary
-be kind and professional on set, be able to keep calm in high stress situations

Job Description

The Production Manager for the Production & Operations department provides essential support on development and series 3rd party projects of various scales across the *** U portfolio including *** , *** , USA, Oxygen, Bravo, E! and SyFy. Communicates directly with 3rd Party Production Companies to explain expectations with regard to pre-production, production, post production and delivery.
To understand and be able to communicate Network technical delivery specifications as well as make sure the 3rd party production companies have all insurance, health & safety, and production policies in place.
Act as liaison *** ween 3rd party production companies and all internal Network departments including legal, marketing, the broadcast facility as well as health and safety.
Review and stay on top of production and post production schedules for multiple projects
Review and approve pilot and series wrap bibles, ensuring that all materials are received and accurate

Responsibilities:

Work with the EP to lead the production plan and the execution strategy of our mobile strategy games, from concept to launch and during live service
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resourcing needs
Partner with the creative vision holders of the game and the PM team to ensure that the game aligns with the product strategy and target play experience
Work closely with the game design and the PM teams to ensure that the game mechanics, storyline, and overall player experience are engaging and enjoyable
Lead cross-functional teams to keep execution on track, adjusting plans as needed; balance working efficiently, high-quality work, and worklife balance
Identify, track, and actively mitigate risks to the project goals or schedule
Manage product submissions and live operation requirements
Prioritize and distribute tasks, bugs, and cross-functional needs
Motivate the team, and foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and inclusivity

Qualifications:

7+ years working on mobile Free to Play games, with at least 2-3 shipped titles
Passionate about mobile Free to Play games and their development process
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written (word, powerpoint, etc.) and verbal
Excellent time management, coordination abilities, and work ethics.
Proven leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills. Ready to be in the trenches to solve day to day issues with strong attention to detail
Must be collaborative and an effective negotiator, and a resourceful and creative problem solver
Flexible project management style and adaptable to changing circumstances in order to adjust the project approach to evolving requirements
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to create project plans, manage resources, and coordinate multiple teams to deliver projects on time and within budget, leveraging project management software (JIRA, Trello, etc.)
Solid understanding of the technical aspects of mobile game development, including programming languages, development environments, and tools, including Agile, Lean, Waterfall, Kanban, etc.
Bachelor's Degree in Game Production, Product Management, or equivalent practical experience
