Overview and Responsibilities
*** Global's *** Broadcast Center has an exciting opportunity for an experienced carpenter with an excellent work ethic and proven history of quality craftsmanship! This role will lead the day-to-day operations of the Carpentry department. The person in this position will prioritize all incoming requests with the understanding that we are a 24x7 facility requiring working overtime and working in adverse weather and unique circumstances.
The ideal candidate will thrive in diverse settings and have good knowledge of commercial carpentry while working with little supervision and following all essential health and safety standards.
• Lead and prioritize electronic carpentry tickets
• Build cabinets, shelves, wall units, TV backboards, consoles, work benches, frames, including drywall and installation
• Consult with trade professionals, clients, suppliers (i.e. attendants, engineers, painters)
• Aid in special projects especially those needing repairs throughout the broadcast center
• Create work proposals including sourcing materials, preparing estimates for supplies and maintaining inventory.
• Demonstrate outstanding customer ser *** skills
• Ensure the physical appearance of the spaces are to company standards

Basic Qualifications
• 8+ years of firsthand commercial carpentry experience
• Exceptional understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.)
• Proficient in reading technical documents and drawings

• Create and deliver high quality, fast turn-a-round graphics for on air, digital or print needs of station

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• Direct multiple art disciplines on a project team
• Provide art direction and feedback to team of artists and external vendors
• Supervise, train, mentor, motivate and support the development of Artists

Job Summary:

There are many roles in which our Cast Members bring *** dreams to life. Do you want to be part of the magic behind the magic? The Plasterer 200 is responsible to perform functions that include but are not limited to plastering normal finishes and simulated finishes (i.e., rock work, brick, stone wood). The removal and installation of tile brick pavers, concrete and asphalt. This will include shop work, field and rehab work ranging from construction to the intricacies of the refurbishment of. It requires the ability to read blue prints, follow engineering instructions and use normal hand tools and power tools. This position provides support to Engineering, all maintenance teams including attractions, ride and show, and infrastructure facilities.

Responsibilities:

The Plasterer 200 role is responsible to:

• Have the ability to safely use and maintain basic hand tools, to operate pneumatic and electric powered tools utilizing the proper safety precautions including personal protective equipment, and the ability to operate a man lift, forklift, scissors lift, truck, and both gas and electric powered carts
• To read blueprints and follow engineering instructions. The ability to use or learn to use MAXIMO (a work order tracking system), as well as to follow check lists to safely handle materials, lock-out and tag-out of attractions, operate department equipment and vehicles and know what actions to take in case of a failure
• To remove and repair cement, pavers, asphalt and tile, are required to possess a basic knowledge of how to handle and use molds and models (preferable knowledge of how to fabricate molds and models), and must possess the ability to plaster and apply or carve in the plaster simulated finishes (i.e., rock work, wood, stone, brick, etc.)
• Have the ability to operate a manlift, forklift, scissors lift, truck, bicycle and both gas and electric powered carts

Basic Qualifications:

• Able to work with cementitious materials, resins, epoxies, adhesives, acrylics, urethanes, molds, models and basic tools required of plasterer and a typical maintenance type position
• Familiarity with safety procedures and equipment necessary to accomplish tasks listed previously
• Able to read and interpret blueprints
• Able to read, interpret and follow checklists, written procedures and/or processes.
• Familiar with or have the ability to learn the Computerized Maintenance Management System
• Excellent communicator (express technical ideas, exchange information with WDI personnel, management, and other Cast Members)
• Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

SCHEDULE AVAILABILITY
Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; Shifts may start as early as 6:00 AM, while some may end as late as 10:00 PM.

This role is Full Time and requires full availability, including working evenings, weekends and holidays when needed.

Available to work Sunday through Saturday, all shifts (i.e., 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift) as deemed required management.

Job Summary:

The Visual Effects Art Director is responsible for visually interpreting ideas communicated by the Director and Key Creatives on a film, episodic or venue project with traditional concept art, storyboards, or 3D designs.

We are looking for a creative who reflects the innovative spirit, creative talent, production excellence, team-oriented mindset and passion for great filmmaking that define ILM.

On any given day you may partner with Global Art Department teams, and Art
Department Management and Production Staff to:

• Design a robot or a planet for a Director, VFX Supervisor or Production Designer
• Provide conceptual paintovers and look direction for VFX sequences or key shots for client approval
• Deliver creative direction, mentorship and feedback to a team of concept artists to deliver world class concept designs
• Partner with CG Department leads and CG artists to ensure consistency of design from inception to final shot delivery
• Participate in daily reviews with clients
• Act as front client liaison both from the ILM studio and potentially onset.
• Partner with Production teams on bidding and assessing crewing for design work, with any eye towards growing and developing up and coming diverse talent.

Here are the skills and experience you need to be successful in this role:

• An outstanding and varied aesthetic with the ability to interpret a multitude of creative visions
• Must possess strong knowledge of visual effects techniques and the latest conceptual design processes, including photoreal concept development and cinematography
