Position: Small Claims Court Researcher (Stringer)

Job description: Stringer/researcher will go to courthouses to research information contained in pending small claims cases. In some instances, stringer may need to drive a good distance to and from courts. Driving time is paid for, and mileage is reimbursed. Stringer will need to stay in regular and frequent contact with NBCUniversal office. This is a FREELANCE position (not employed by NBCU).

Requirements: Self-motivated, efficient, professional and organized, good communication skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, technical skills, and possess a working car with insurance. Legal/court knowledge is helpful, but not necessary.

You must fulfill weekly obligation consistently to retain position. This is a part-time, partial year job, with approximately 4 months of employment.

Salary: $12/hour OR state minimum wage (whichever is higher); $0.57.5/mile. Work-related expenses will be reimbursed (photocopying, etc).

The Lead Quality Analyst helps oversee the QA Analyst group and release management of our mobile products. They will ensure that our mobile software contains no errors by analyzing design data, source control, and test plans to validate all aspects of a game. They must pay strong attention to detail during the development cycle and release planning to ensure the testability and shipment of game requirements.

Lead Quality Analyst responsibilities also include actively participating in the creation of quality assurance standards and making recommendations for improvements to existing QA systems. They must define and follow strict QA procedures while monitoring the testing of builds and comply with program specifications to keep accurate documentation. Additionally, they will facilitate and assist with the coordination and creation of new game builds. This role can be fully remote within the USA.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee QA Analysts in the delivery of test design, test execution, test library maintenance, and test closure results through advanced manual and/or automated *** -box test approaches.
Facilitate builds and assist the release manager in the end-to-end release process for mobile game platforms to ensure deployment stability across all environments.

Work with internal / external Technical Support teams to ensure timely resolution of technical requests and issues.
Support Newsroom and Operations users by providing technical support forsystems, infrastructure, and applications, including root cause analysis.
Maintain workflows related to all broadcast systems including linear and IP fabric for video infrastructures, virtualized Windows & Linux environments, encode / decode platforms, newsgathering tools, NLE, *** Asset Management systems, distribution / transmission systems and other workflow tools.
Follow Change Management policies and assess all issues, adds, changes to mitigate potential system impact.
Follow best practices and implement new technologies & deliver projects on time & within budget.
Participate in the testing of new technology.
Install, commission, and configure new technology.
Produce work that is consistently professional, reliable and detail oriented.
Support Facility as needed.

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications:

A systems engineer dedicated to help our business win by supporting mission critical broadcast and IT systems, projects, and new initiatives.

Experience supporting a major market or network news operation or in a similar role with a *** company, systems integrator, an ISP, or other relevant industry
Experience in supporting large scale systems to support business needs

Experience with Visio and AutoCAD

*** U Boston *** Center is hiring for a Senior IT Specialist with experience in broadcast technology. This engineer will be part of the team that supports content creation, production, and distribution across multiple businesses and their viewing platforms; television, internet, mobile and OTT. This role will provide the opportunity to design, implement, and support cutting edge broadcast solutions.

Responsible for IT systems, newsroom IT systems, desktop support, broadcast equipment and facility maintenance, live field trucks and transmitter maintenance, coupled with project initiatives for *** Boston, *** Boston, NECN and *** Sports Boston.

Work as a member of the station's engineering team and the division's technology team to implement state of the art technical facilities at a competitive television station. Brainstorm and develop, with the assistance of other team members, new solutions for news operations and television transmissions. Interface with news and Production Operations employees to troubleshoot time-critical applications and systems
Evaluate and optimize workflows related to broadcast systems including linear and IP fabric for video infrastructures, virtualized Windows & Linux environments, encode / decode platforms, newsgathering tools, NLE, *** Asset Management systems, distribution / transmission systems, and other workflow tools.
Maintain the technical integrity of the Boston *** Center operating facilities including but not limited to the control room, *** , transmission, newsgathering, and production equipment. Support current wireless environment in newsroom, sales and administration with strong ability to troubleshoot wireless networks. Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Broadcast Engineering, or similar; ORminimum of 5years of similarexperience.
