Job Title: Event Rigger for Live Event Setup
Location: Austin, TX
Event Date: March 9th
Shift: 11:30 PM - 9:30 AM
Strike - March 10 - 5:00 PM - 3 AM - (paid for an 8 Hour minimum day but if the strike is over in 3 hours (hopefully) you can go home with a full 8 hour rate)

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Event Rigger to join our team for the setup of a live event in Austin, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading in, assembling, and securing flats, set pieces, props, and other elements critical to the event's production. This position requires a high level of precision, safety awareness, and teamwork to ensure the event setup is completed efficiently and effectively within the overnight timeframe.
Responsibilities:
Load in and unload trucks carrying set pieces, flats, props, and other event materials.
Assemble and disassemble complex set pieces and flats according to design specifications.
Rig and secure set pieces and props safely and according to industry standards.
Work closely with the production team to ensure the set is built to the creative vision.
Adjust and make on-the-spot modifications to set pieces as required.
Ensure all rigging equipment is used in compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment throughout the setup and breakdown process.
Communicate effectively with team members and production staff to ensure a cohesive effort and timely completion of setup.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Event Rigger or similar role in live event productions.
In-depth knowledge of rigging techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
Ability to read and interpret set design plans and technical diagrams.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changes in design or schedule.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy lifting and long hours on feet.
Must be able to work overnight for the duration of the setup.
Certification in rigging is highly preferred.
