How you'll make an impact:
*** is rapidly expanding its services to drive further engagement of consumers via smartphones, tablets, PCs, and connected devices, while continuing to maintain and grow its adoption in connected cars. This position is a senior leader responsible for looking after technical program management for our Content Services domain, developing the platform APIs supporting *** , Pandora, & Stitcher applications. These APIs provide a cohesive experience to our Client Applications across the ecosystem, while collaborating with Product, Marketing and partnering Engineering teams to harmonize our efforts toward shared company goals. The Director of Technical Program Management will be responsible for a team of technical program managers embedded within the Platform Services engineering organization, within services teams responsible for developing APIs related to Search, Voice, Recommendations and CMS. This role reports to a Director of Technical Program Management.
What you'll do: - Lead and grow a technical program management organization focused on developing tools that enhance - and guarantee uniformity - across the suite of Content Services.
- Define, implement and establish program management tools, techniques, and best practices that are uniquely aligned to project execution of common libraries and other Architecture and product development initiatives.
- Work with stakeholders and engineering to ensure software tools, patterns, and practices make applications easy to use, fast, consistent, scalable, extensible, and resilient in their day-to-day usage.
- Work closely with your partners in Product, Marketing and Business Development to ensure engineering roadmaps are constantly maintained and well communicated.
- Partner as a technical liaison *** ween stakeholders and engineering teams.
- Communicate schedules, dependencies, issues, and risks across teams and to
stakeholders. - Lead program scoping with architecture, engineering, and senior leaders.
- Design, implement, and refine software development, testing, and intake processes.
- Drive a culture of innovation and be an agent of change.
- Cultivate a culture that rewards aggressive pursuit of innovative solutions to problems.
- Be responsive to the business in proposing and developing new products and services.
- Identify opportunities to create new products and services that meet current and prospective market opportunities.
- Attract and retain the high-caliber TPM talent needed to deliver against *** 's Product Roadmap through high-performance, on-time and on-budget development programs.
- This role will manage a geographically dispersed team.
What you'll need: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Management or similar field, or equivalent experience, in lieu of degree.
- 6+ years managing technical project management teams in a software development organization.
- Experience in building distributed systems & highly available services using cloud computing services / architecture - preferably using AWS
- Experience working with Content Management Systems and related technologies.
- Ability to simplify the technically complex and drive well-educated decisions across
product, engineering, design, and data science representatives. - Strong technical backgrounds (ideally building highly scalable platforms, products, or
services) with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout
delivery life-cycle. - Exceptional cross-team collaboration; able to work across different functions,
organizations, and reporting boundaries to get the job done. - Technical experience in the following areas:
- Backend or Client application development.
- Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Jira, Wiki, GitHub, AWS
At *** , we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $ 178,000 to 250,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
