Gaia is seeking an energetic, awake Content Producer to join our team. Familiarity with and affinity for our content is a prerequisite to applying.
The Content Producer will be responsible for creating compelling original content for Gaia.com. Responsibilities will cover research, development, production, post-production, and budget management of docu-series, educational programming, and interview shows. Producers also supervise show staff and coordinate deliverables with post-production, publishing, and other internal teams.
The Content Producer will report directly to the EVP of Content Production.
Responsibilities:
Meet with Head of Content and EVP of Production to review production schedule as well as editorial content for shows.
Implement production schedule, book guests, prep talent, oversee set design.
Aggregate content from across various platforms to incorporate into shows.
Review and supervise editorial; supervise and write all scripts.
Review and manage show budgets.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
Seven to ten years' experience working in Network Television
Bachelor's degree
Must have docu-series producing experience
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work on multiple projects at once and in a high-pressure environment without direct supervision
Candidate must be knowledgeable in the esoteric topics feature on Gaia.com
Solid editing, writing and production principals are a must
