• 2-5 years of professional Software Engineering experience.

The Role

You will work closely with Live Engineering teams across broadcast, encoding, content delivery, de *** playback, recommendations and discovery, UI, content management, and security to ensure the effective execution of our Live program. We are looking for an experienced technical program manager with Live Streaming experience who can partner closely with engineering managers, engineers, product managers, and other technical program managers to execute complex technical programs. Responsibilities

About The Role
The Data Platforms Team, a segment under the *** Entertainment & *** Technology (DEET) organization is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to join our Big Data Applications team. Big Data technology is critical to improving products in the DEET Portfolio because it allows us to quantify content performance, measure advertising effectiveness, help users discover new content, detect fraud, and track user journeys. Overall, this data enables us to *** ter understand the user experience so we can continue improving our ser *** for our users, advertisers, and content partners. Our Big Data Applications Engineering team is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer with a strong technical background who is passionate about designing and building systems to process data at scale, solving challenging problems in both batch and real-time data processing, and working across software and data disciplines to engineer solutions. Our tech stack includes AWS, Databricks, Airflow, and Spark, and primary languages are Scala and Java.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to maintaining, updating, and expanding the existing Data Capture platform including the Spark data pipelines while maintaining strict uptime SLAs
• Extend functionality of current Data Capture platform offerings, including metadata parsing, extending the metastore API, and building new integrations with APIs both internal and external to the Data organization
• Implement the Lakehouse architecture, working with customers, partners, and stakeholders to shift towards a Lakehouse centric data platform
• Architect, design, and code shared libraries in Scala and Python that abstract complex business logic to allow consistent functionality across the Data organization
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to drive the success of the Data Capture platform
• Lead the developing and documenting both internal and external standards and best practices for pipeline configurations, naming conventions, partitioning strategies, and more
• Ensure high operational efficiency and quality of the Data Capture platform datasets to ensure our solutions meet SLAs and project reliability and accuracy to all our stakeholders (Engineering, Data Science, Operations, and Analytics teams)

The hiring range for this position in Seattle is $156,300 - $209,600 per year and in Santa Monica is $149,300 - $200,200 per year. As a Product Manager on the Identity team, you will define and drive Identity Product initiatives, focused on a unified customer experience across our broad range of digital properties. It is highly cross-functional and requires strong analytical drive, product intuition, and relentless customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Define the product experience for how Profiles will work across our streaming products and which elements of a profile should be elevated and unified across TWDC
• Drive prioritization based on business outcomes, getting buy-in from senior management (from Directors to SVPs) and aligning with other product domains toward shared objectives
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify business problems and tie back to business impact
• Author detailed product briefs, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics
• Partner with analytics to design experiments that measure the efficacy of an initiative and test your hypotheses
• Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Analytics, Business Strategy, Customer Service, Marketing, Technical Program Management, Legal, and others to develop, test, and deliver high quality products
• Conduct regular product review sessions to align with stakeholders
• Review product performance against key metrics while constantly iterating to make feature improvements
• Champion a collaborative work environment that cultivates shared understanding, transparency, autonomy, innovation, and continuous learning
• Fill in gaps across roles and functions as needed, performing as an adaptive problem solver

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication that brings clarity and instills confidence
• Relentless resourcefulness in finding a path around obstacles you may face - leveraging your skills, your network, your team, and your manager.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least 5 years of relevant product management experience
• Experience with the full product lifecycle, from initial concept and product discovery to launch and product optimizations post-launch
• Ease in presenting to senior leadership and senior level audiences
• Effective collaboration with engineering, design, and product stakeholders
• Adept at driving clarity through all levels of the organization for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Solid knowledge of user-centric design and data-informed decision making
• Strong bias for action, tenacity, and "get it done" attitude

The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica, CA is $136,100 - $182,400 per year, in NYC and Seattle is $142,600 - $191,100 per year and in San Francisco is $149,000 - $199,800 based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
