General Summary:

The Set Medic will be responsible for providing medical assistance to production crew on the production set.

Essential Functions:
• Administers rapid antigen COVID-19 tests as needed.
• Effectively triages and assists with the treatment of small wounds and injuries such as cuts, burns, and sprains.
• Assists with heat illness prevention and treatment.
• Able to quickly analyze, synthesize, and interpret medical needs of the production staff.

Other Duties & Responsibilities:
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be detail-oriented and organized.

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or a General Education Development (GED) Certificate.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification.
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certificate through an accredited program in the production’s region preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Set Medic or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).

Physical Demands:
• Physically capable of walking up and down stairs and around the racetrack with ease.
• Physical exposure to various climate and weather conditions such as heat.
• Appropriately handle stress, respond to time-sensitive or emergency injuries, and maintain
overall composure in emergency circumstances.

Work Environment:
• Fast-paced environment must be able to respond to an urgent medical need or incident.
• Must be willing to work overtime and often late hours.
• Must be comfortable in extreme poor weather conditions such as heat, snow, rain, and wind.
