Title: Adventure Series for SVOD
Job Requirements: On-location production (all travel costs covered).

Plimsoll is looking for a creative Showrunner to work with our BAFTA and Emmy award-winning team to oversee a new high-octane adventure and science series for a major US streamer. Contract from March 2022 to April 2023 based in our LA office.

This large-scale production will be creatively challenging, technically innovative and a career-defining opportunity for the successful candidate. You will need to have experience managing a large team, overseeing a complex foreign shoot, organizing expeditions in remote, challenging parts of the world, preferably including alpine and/or Arctic environments, working with the latest camera technology, and running multiple edits. You must have a passion for storytelling, a strong creative and visual flair, experience maintaining and delivering intersecting storylines for primetime series, and a strong track record in adventure and science filming is desirable.

All these information being told from the perspective of a female who initially just wanted to head home and see how she could make a difference.

I have shot amazing footage in locations rarely given access to, partner with strategic allies in the local government and am ready to put the story together, I just need a visionary that will help me make it a reality.

Did I also forget to mention there are also Enchanted islands and a breathtaking backdrop in one of the most beautiful (yet currently dangerous) places on Earth?

This might be a very unconventional way to put together a project, but maybe it's time to disrupt the way the industry works.

This position will crash day of air pieces and breaking news, so writing, edit, and strong storytelling skills are a must. This position will produce in the field and at offsite interviews when needed, source and advance news stories, and work well within a team environment. Essential Responsibilities

Oversee creative segments under the direction of the EP, Co-EP, and Supervising Producers as well as work closely with Production team members to ensure budget expectations are met, staffing needs are communicated, and post/deliverables are executed on time.
Be a one-person band when necessary, crashing day of air pieces for broadcast with quick turnarounds.
Contribute towards building the brand identity by being able to take information and create engaging and interactive formats in which the viewer can participate.
