- Do you have post-sound design experience?
We have just completed an absolutely hilarious indie feature film. Everything from the script to the actors, the cinematography, to the craftie was stellar. When the comedy hits, it hits hard. But when the big heart moment at the end of the movie reveals itself, the audience will be left in awe. We know we have something great for upcoming festivals, but we need the sound design to reflect the awesomeness of the rest of the film. That's where you come in!
We're looking for someone who can bring some real artistry to the table. This will not be a simple job of balancing levels and outputting a great sound (although we do need that). We want someone who can collaborate with the director and bring some cool ideas to heighten the sound design.
Our main character suffers from anxiety. How would you differentiate the sound when he's having an attack? We jump into a lot of fast-paced chaotic movements. How would you attack the audience's auditory senses???? MAKE THIS YOUR BABY!!!
We're an indie feature and can't afford to pay you a quadrillion dollars. Everyone working on this project has come in well below their rates because they believe in the story. But we can work something out. We're ideally looking for someone who wants a passion project. Maybe you're working at a post house and looking for your first feature credit with notable actors. If you're looking to sink your teeth into something you can put your stamp on, this is the project for you! Audiences should walk out of the theater commenting on how amazing your sound design was. If you think for a second you can't bring that level of artistry, keep scrolling!
If interested, shoot us over your reel, and let's set up a meeting next week to talk!
