Seeking Ongoing Podcast Audio Editor – $100/episode (approx. $25+/hr.)
The Big Fat Gay Podcast seeks an audio editor to process once-weekly recordings of 60-80 minutes into 45-65 minutes finished episodes. Work includes fine editing for pacing, repetition, lulls, and pauses in the conversation. If there is substantive content to delete, we will provide timecodes. Initial cut for our review delivered on or before Mondays, changes/notes given by Tuesday morning. Final cut due for upload Tuesday by 10pm. Each episode should take between 2 and 4 hours to complete, depending on notes and other technical complexities. Candidate should be own and be proficient with Adobe Audition. The Accusonus ERA audio repair plug-ins are recommended but not required. Episode templates are provided and audio processing will already be done before delivery to editor.
The Big Fat Gay Podcast talks about social issues around fatness in today's society, with a focus on gay and queer topics. We have been running weekly episodes since January 2020 with a high degree of technical quality. Our goal is to provide entertainment and thought provoking topics for listeners to broaden their worldview and learn more about the fat and queer communities.
