Looking for a Sound Engineer that can facilitate basic interviews over 2 days (boom and lav setup). 8 interviews in total (4 on day 1 / 3 on day 2)

SHOW DESCRIPTION - 

In Depth with Graham Bensinger averages 3 million television viewers/episode and 2.5 million digital views/episode airing weekly across the U.S. on the local NBC, CBS, ABC and FOX stations. It re-airs on NBC Regional Sports Networks and FOX Sports Nets, YouTube, ESPN in Australia/Latin America/Caribbean, BT Sport in Ireland/UK and TSN in Canada. Recent episodes range from a few days in Serbia with tennis star Novak Djokovic, to a trip to Texas for Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, to visiting Hong Kong with Arnold Schwarzenegger, to traveling to Monaco with Prince Albert, to the week in the Bahamas with Sir Richard Branson.



We film on either Canon C70s or Canon 5Ds
- We record at 48000 khz, 24 bit, shoot at 29.97 drop-fps
- Time code jamming required
- Audio must be recorded to separate tracks - we have to be able to split audio. Mixdowns and backup tracks are welcome but no mixdown as primary track.
- Minimum of (1) IFB required for the producer to monitor audio.
- At least two subjects, no more than four, requiring wireless lavalier microphones throughout the interview and following activities.
- Booming additional subjects and activities will be required.
-Mic redundancies required for sit-down interviews when there are 2 subjects (aka 2 lavs and 2 booms).
- We will provide an SD, CF card or both for each day we film and then collect upon wrapping.

- Ability to troubleshoot technical difficulties
- Ability to work under stressful and extreme conditions, as well as quickly adapt to last-minute schedule changes
- Be teachable and willing to learn new workflows
- Ability to work under strict deadlines.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced audio technician to run the soundboard and manage sound for a live corporate event.

Event Details:

Dates: July 31st - August 2nd, 2024
Time: 9:00 AM - 5:30/6:00 PM each day
Location: Dallas, TX

Responsibilities:

Manage and troubleshoot the soundboard for the entire event.
Operate PA system provided by us.
Handle audio for 3-4 speakers using a mix of handheld and lavalier microphones.
Conduct a sound check and ensure optimal audio quality for all speakers.
Troubleshoot and resolve any audio issues promptly during the event.

Requirements:

Proven experience in live sound management, preferably for corporate events.
Proficiency with soundboards and PA systems.
Ability to manage multiple microphone types (handheld and lavalier).
Excellent troubleshooting skills and quick problem-solving abilities.

Compensation:

$500 daily rate, one hour lunch break with food provided

A brief sound test is required on July 30th, the day before the event starts.

Looking for a local IATSE audio mixer for a one day ENG style shoot (we cannot travel anyone from out of town). Will be doing a story on a local entrepreneur in Anchorage. Shoot includes filming an interview and B-roll of them at their home and office.

Filming on a single Sony FX9 camera. Shooting an interview, and ENG style B-Roll (will need to be mobile to move with camera).

Rate is $65.375/hr with an 8hr guarantee. It's paid through our payroll company: Entertainment Partners. We cannot process this position as a Loan out, and cannot accept invoicing for labor. Travel between locations (between call time and wrap) is reimbursed at .67 cents a mile.

Kit Rental of (3) Wireless Lavs, Boom, Mixer, Mono Hop to Camera is budgeted at $450. We travel with memory cards that you can record to on your rig, and we'll grab it at end of day.

We will have a very tight window of time to film, and need to be nimble to accommodate multiple set-ups. Verité and/or reality experience essential, as is a good attitude and willingness to be a team player. We are a small crew and you might be asked to assist with moving a modest amount of gear, small lighting kit, etc.

Gear needed: mixer/recorder, boom, 3 lavs, and timecode/audio to 2 cameras (must have Jam sync; Tentacle Sync system is highly preferred). Gear rental included in rate.

- Must have own vehicle and a valid driver’s license. Will be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
