Need an event photographer in Cambridge Massachusetts for a corporate ribbon cutting and site tour.

MUST HAVE ample corporate event photography experience and experience photographing c-suite level individuals.

Photographer will be guided by on site handler and producer.

Photographer will capture shots of the speech, ribbon cutting, some posed photos after the ribbon cutting, and the luncheon.

Photographer will be on site from 9 am to 1:30 pm.

Day rate for shoot day and then hourly rate for post production. Post production specs described in job description.

Post Production Expectation:

The Photographer after they shoot, should go through their pics and eliminate all unusable images.
Once they have all of their good images, they should then do some quick, batch editing (clean-up / adjust lighting, etc.) of all of their images (keeping things simple and basic as much as possible in order to deliver quickly).

Once that’s done, they should convert all of the good images into low-res JPEGs.
They should then comb through all of their cleaned up images and then ‘select’ what they feel are their best 10-20 images (and make high-res JEPGs so the client can immediately use them if they desire) from their coverage (essentially, a good mix / representation of their best shots of everything they covered).

Job Description

The Photographer/Editor is responsible for shooting and editing all elements of news stories for daily newscasts.

Responsibilities:

Stories will be assigned for series, special reports, and long form content.
Assist reporter and producer in the pre and postproduction process.
Creatively visualize stories told by reporters and producers.
Photograph and edit news and feature stories.
Always maintain equipment in good working condition
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Works under the direct supervision of SVP, News Production and is responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

5 years minimum experience in field camera, editing work and lighting work
Able to follow direction from assignment desk, reporter, and producer
Able to assist and/or do live transmissions via satellite trucks or local microwave
Familiarization and ability to send stories via wireless technology
Fully proficient on Avid 6.0 *** composer on Mac operating system
Proficient with Sony HD 350/500 cameras
Fully proficient in HD lighting and shot composition
Ability to react quickly and urgently to breaking news stories
Ability to work irregular shifts (nights and weekends)
Ability to communicate and effectively work well with people under pressure
Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced, dead-line driven environment
Must be available to travel domestically and internationally with minimal notice

The Photographer will be responsible for executing live shots during our morning newscasts using microwave, satellite, or TVU technology. The candidate will often work alone to gather news content, as well as shoot alongside a reporter on a regular basis. The Photographer should be proficient in shot composition and lighting, and digital editing. We shoot on both Panasonic and JVC cameras.

Responsibilities

Will operate ENG camera, live truck, and edit on Premiere edit systems.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience shooting video and knowledge of live remote capabilities in a Broadcast station.
