In search of a hardworking and organized Field Producer with a great attitude for a Cooking Show.

Candidate will work directly with the Executive Producer and should have story and logistical experience. Experience managing a team is definitely necessary for this position. Strong story sense and field directing skills are necessary qualifications for this position. You will be working with a host and celebrity guests so you must be comfortable and confident in that environment as well.

Remote pre-production will start 2nd week of August. 2-3 weeks prep 8-10 weeks shoot. Shoot will be around Los Angeles.

We'll be operating with Covid-19 safety restrictions, which will, among many items, include restricted crew size and restricted shooting hours.

Ideal candidates will have cooking show experience and field work experience.

Job Description

Field Producer, ***

The Field Producer brainstorms and pitches ideas, researches topics and works closely with reporter(s) to advance stories, break news and produce segments both in studio and in the field.

What you'll do:

Working both independently and with reporters/anchors to produce original business news content, primarily for broadcast and additionally for digital and social.
Production responsibilities may include research, conducting interviews, writing and editing, field producing and overseeing editing.
Pitching story ideas and working on assigned stories developed by the editorial planning team.
Establishing and maintaining relationships with, and being knowledgeable of and current on companies in the universe of coverage.
Communicating clearly with reporter and field production crews to determine best coverage plan and live remote locations.
Maintaining all video/digital records, feed necessary and relevant video to bureau/headquarters, communicate to editors and/or desk producers how video should be cut/taken to air.
Communicating with *** News desk editors on available live times, understanding and owning all live hit requests, disseminating hit times to reporter and team on the ground. In the bureau/studio, working with reporter on day-of-air hits. Locating all video needed whether it be in-house archival or acquired through shoots, satellite feeds, company hand-outs.

The Field Producer is part of *** 's award winning International Newsgathering operation. Responsibilities include coming up with ideas for distinctive stories, researching them and making successful pitches to editorial leaders. The successful candidate will then see stories through to broadcast and publication. He/she will work closely with television and digital staff on all stories so having good communication skills is essential. He/she will also be charged with identifying news stories/breaking news stories from Japan on any given day and flagging to the desk as well as driving with the newsgathering efforts around those stories.

Field Producers work hand in glove with some of the world's most respected correspondents and will be required to operate at the highest standard. During the course of managing a story, the successful candidate will ensure that legal and editorial integrity issues are handled according to company policy. Producers are also required to work up budgets for stories and ensure those budgets are adhered to.

Breaking news is a key component of what *** does. Field Producers are often deployed into the field to cover a wide range of stories including riots, natural disasters, wars, terrorist attacks, big political developments and a whole lot more. Your Role Accountabilities...

The Field Producer is a key position which requires making editorial decisions, coordinating logistics and overseeing the quality of our news coverage in the field and in the bureau. Job Summary/Description:

****/****, the strong #1 station in the Grand Junction/Montrose market, is looking for a video journalist with a passion for storytelling to join our team. This position requires solid reporting on all types of daily news stories with emphasis on accuracy and quality. Responsible for daily news photography and video tape editing in addition to publishing to digital platforms. Our Number 1 TV station needs a strong individual to generate revenue through advertising sales by servicing existing clients and creating new advertisers.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• A proven track record of finding unique stories
• Edit video on a deadline, working with the Producer towards a creative and informative newscast with emphasis on the viewers' interests
• Coordinate the writing and editing of scripts that incorporate video, nat sound and graphics to enhance storytelling
• Coordinate live shots
• Engaging with audience on social *** platforms
• Shooting video on professional cameras for broadcast
• Posting content to digital platforms, to include the station’s site as well as social ***
• Appear at station sponsored events and promote station/brand
• Willingness to work weekends/holidays and ‘non business’ hour shifts
• Work under pressure and deadlines
• Adapt to breaking news and developing stories
• Communicate with anchors, field crews and control room staff
• Other Duties as Assigned

*** News *** is looking for an experienced Executive Producer to join America Reports in NY! As Executive Producer, you are responsible for overseeing content for a two-hour news program. You work hand-in-hand with the hosts, the show team, and management to facilitate a successful production.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as the editorial point person, from initial story development through the live control room broadcast
Frame compelling storylines and determine the best sound and elements for each segment
Copy edit scripts throughout the live broadcast
Work directly with the hosts and all production staff on show content
Help coordinate special projects
Evaluate potential guest segments
Manage and mentor staff and monitor their development
Conduct annual performance reviews
Oversee staff calendar/backup roles

10+ years of experience producing news at a local station or network
Knowledge of and experience in news
2+ years of experience as a Senior Producer in a professional live news environment
Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field preferred

Ability to work all hours and days as breaking news requires
Ability to travel with anchors to shows on the road when required
