Long-running Food Network competition series is seeking an experienced Supervising Producer for an exciting season. Ideal candidates will have experience on reality competition shows and understand tracking story in a competitive setting with multiple characters and moving parts. Should be a strong right hand for the showrunner, able to independently manage a team of producers when needed.

Candidates should be familiar working with large productions with many moving parts, flexible with their time, and able to put out fires and keep their focus when challenges arise.

Must have great interview experience, arc'd story experience, and management experience. This is an awesome show with an incredibly talented team - hope you're a good fit!

The AP will contribute to production and promotional needs, and work with other podcast properties under Dateline to help drive expansion.

Job Requirements: Must be local to location (or willing to work as a local).

Pitch guests, stories, and segment ideas
Write guest intros, anchor questions, and teases
Select elements such as sound, video clips, and graphics to tell a story
Build accurate and constantly evolving research packets
Oversee all aspects of productions including story research, scriptwriting, field shoots, obtaining archival video, and managing rights and clearances
Coordinate with other departments throughout *** such as legal, finance, graphics, marketing, field production, and *** relations
Book guests and conduct both on and off-camera interviews

**** YOU **** NEED

5+ years of professional experience in a live television control room at a legitimate news organization, production company, or documentary company
Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
Strong and accurate writing
Line producing training
Thorough knowledge of current events and politics
Ability to travel when required
Excellent communication skills
Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced creative environment, working both independently and as a part of a team
Ability to think creatively and develop new and interesting approaches to storytelling
Willing to work nights, and weekends when needed

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $35.10-47.12 per hour. We provide Freelancers medical/dental/vision insurance and 401k after they meet eligibility criteria and any State required time-off, in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
