Immersive theater company looking to fill a Theater Technician position for a 28-30 day event in Washington DC mid September through November 5th.

Haunted Soiree is an immersive theater program featuring comedians, actors, singers, musicians, improv actors, and background actors. Guests are encouraged to speak with the talent to try and uncover the hidden secrets of the mansion. Part immersive theater part cocktail soiree. This is the first season this project is in DC (first in Chicago, second in Nashville and Seattle, third in New York and Dallas, and forth in Los Angeles), and we are so excited. We work hard, and we have fun doing it.

Load in: 9/23 - 9/28
Show dates: 9/29 - 9/30, 10/6 - 10/8, 10/13 - 10/15, 10/19 - 10/22, 10/26 - 10/29, 10/31
TBD dates: 10/1, 10/25
Load out: 11/1 - 11/5

Ideal candidate will have experience with lighting, sound, and overall tech. This position DOES NOT require experience on sound boards and lighting boards.

Duties for this position include:

-Running the lighting and sound components of our theatrical event, ensuring everything runs smoothly at the right times

-Assisting with install and strike

-Setting up equipment prior to the daily show

-Breaking down equipment at the end of the daily show

-Making sure the equipment setup is safe for actors and other staff to be around

-Maintaining and repairing equipment and doing basic set fixes

-Any other tasks as requested by the Creative Director or Event Producer

Wage is $1000 to $1200 per week depending on experience.

Reporting to the Executive in Charge, the Technical Supervisor will maintain, operate, and administer the production and post-production systems for a successful pop-culture show airing daily on the Fox Television Network. This is a challenging opportunity, ideally for an ACSR in the broadcast and television industry with an emphasis on post-production management and systems administration.


Key responsibilities and duties:

• Record studio feeds on Airspeed5000s and playback media assets while meeting all technical and quality standards.

• Support broadcast equipment - including Avid, Sony, TVU, Blackmagic, AJA, Cisco, Telestream Episode Engine, and more.

• Respond to service outages promptly and effectively.

• Install, test, and configure broadcast applications s/w and h/w.

• Analyze, create, and modify workflows throughout the content life cycle.

• Administer application security for internal users and customers to media industry standards.

• Assist with planning routine system upgrades and maintaining IT management & monitoring systems adhering to operational policies.

• Ensure routine data back-ups are carried out and are correctly archived.

• Create, update, and maintain systems documentation as required.

Skills and experience:

• Proven exposure to working within a time-critical 24/7 high-availability broadcast IT system environment, possessing the right mindset and approach to dealing with support challenges within a high-pressure environment.

• Competency in Microsoft OS, Windows/MAC OS knowledge.

• Experience in supporting DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, and 802.1Q network systems.

• Must have a high degree of computer literacy, advanced knowledge of MS Office/Google Docs applications, and the capability to produce clear documentation.

• Good understanding of traditional broadcasting standards, interfaces, and formats.

• Experience in one or more: post-production, broadcast workflow, playout, and distribution.

• Understand file wrappers and codecs and all video and audio manipulation parameters.

• Good understanding of file acceleration and transcoding technologies.

• Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of DAM/MAM systems

• TCP and UDP technologies, including supporting networking infrastructure

• Excellent English written and oral communication and the ability to build strong relationships quickly

• Ability to articulate well with non-technical team members and management on system design, support, and maintenance issues

• Team player with a strong work ethic, but able to work effectively without close supervision

• Proactive with the confidence to assess a situation and take appropriate action

• ACSR: Shared Storage and Edit Systems (ISIS, Nexis, and Media Composer)

We are in need of a Tech Consultant that can handle live-streaming daily while filming via zoom. They will also be utilized to help manage and rig GoPro's to vehicles when needed.

This is for a Docu-Follow television show, that will film through various towns.
Small-ish crew (less than 20) and small cast (1-6). Supporting 2-cam shoot primarily based around one location with occasional travel out from home-base to town or nearby vicinity.

Dates approximately 9/27/23 to 11/17/23
