Job DescriptionThe *** U Operations & Technology Division has an opportunity for a talented individual to join their Technical Operations team as Technical Manager for a Syndicated Entertainment Program
.You will be responsible for providingfront-line management of personnel, facilities, equipment, operations and technology for a customer driven production operations group. You will oversee day to day technical and logistical requirements of on-air programming while working with operations managers and scheduling to ensure staffing requirements are met throughout the day. This is a Run of Show position.
Responsibilities :
- Follow up on all reliability tickets with engineering and operations.
- Assess workflow changes for increased reliability.
- Ensure efficient utilization of company resources within a fast pacedrapidly changing environment.
- Work with scheduling and operations managers to identify efficiencies in the daily schedule.
- Contribute to the performance review process.
- Assist in the strategic financial planning process and the development andtracking of short and long-term budgets.
- Maintain technical and broadcast quality.
- Work closely with engineering to ensure all equipment meets client expectations.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable company policies.
QualificationsQualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in live, studio television production experience.
- 7+ years of experience in engineering support and operational experience in broadcast studio and production control room.
- 5+ years of experience with field/remote production processes and equipment (including satellite/telco and communications) experience.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.
- Must understand digital production and file based workflows in FCP environment.
- Must have proficient computer skills, including Apple, Outlook, MS Word, Excel.
- Must have strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Must have managerial skills; technical crew management is a plus.
- Strong on-air operations and technical background.
- Ability to work all shifts including days, overnights, weekends and holidays.
- Deep working knowledge with control room and studio technology.
- Solid leadership, clear communication, excellent interpersonal, and team building skills required.
- Demonstrated management experience and customer focused.
- Excellent team facilitation and knowledge of team problem solving techniques.
- Ability to facilitate change, serve as a change agent in the organization.
- Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks and challenges at the same time.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be willing to work in New York, NY.
- Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice.
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.

Salary Range: $95,000 - $135,000
In accordance with the production schedule, it is expected that this position will work about 41 weeks with an unpaid hiatus. The posted salary range is reflective of working for a full 52 weeks and will therefore be adjusted based on the actual schedule & weeks worked. In the event that the production schedule changes, you will be updated accordingly.
