Responsibilities The Technical Manager is responsible for providing front-line management of operational, technical and production support for *** Enterprises programming throughout all steps of the production process. The Technical Manager collaborates with a driven and highly motivated team to support the on-air operations of *** Enterprises and provide first in class ser *** to all clients for on air broadcasts.
Job Duties
- Manages the coordination, operation, and execution of live programming for *** Enterprises, coordinating with clients and the Technical Operations Center
- Coordinates all technical and logistical requirements prior to air and then in the control rooms to ensure that all technical aspects of the production go as planned
- Attends planning meetings as necessary ahead of production to determine resources and logistics required for successful execution
- Implements and oversees control room training curriculum for staff (i.e. Telos, RTS, etc.)
- Serves as main point of contact for News, Entertainment and Sports clients to resolve issues and execute changes to programming in a dynamic on-air environment
- Owns relationship with Engineering and Technical Operations Center teams to implement new technologies and to resolve on-air issues
- Owns coordination and planning *** ween networks to ensure proper scheduling of live events and off-air execution
- Manages projects related to the execution or enhancement of News, Entertainment and Sports programs
- Ensures client expectations are met or exceeded relating to on-air reliability for all *** clients
- Seeks operational improvement in partnership with *** clients
- Works under the direct supervision of the VP, Technical Production and is responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned as needed
Qualifications/Requirements Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an on-air broadcast environment, encompassing an overall understanding and knowledge of the television production process, broadcast operations, and news/sports/entertainment technical production requirements
• Minimum 3 years of experience in leading the execution of live television events
• Prior experience with Avid iNEWS or other NRCS application (ENPS, Dalet, etc.)
• Proficient in Office 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Yammer, Stream, and Teams) and other related tools.
• Fluent English and Spanish (both written & verbal)

• As this is a critical operations position, candidate must be willing to work flexible hours including late and/or last-minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment
• Must be available to work (whenever necessary for show production) early mornings, evenings, holidays and weekends
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
