Your New Role
*** Discovery seeks a Contract Reporting Analyst as a part of the *** West Coast Business Affairs department. The Contract Reporting group supports talent negotiations and contractual reporting to talent and co-production partners on all *** and Max original programming. Additionally, the group supports the Corporate Finance department with Participation budgeting, accruals, and cash forecasting.

The Contract Reporting Analyst is responsible for calculating Participation Ultimates for *** and Max original programming. This position reviews and understands contractual agreements, ensuring that all financial obligations are accurate and timely met. Additionally, the Contract Reporting Analyst will be responsible for reading and understanding distribution agreements to allocate revenue based on the contractual terms.

Your Role Accountabilities

Calculate Participation Ultimates by analyzing contractual agreements and using complex financial models.
On a quarterly basis, review financial models to assess reasonableness of accruals and update for actuals, as necessary.
Provide support for ad hoc projects involving financial analysis and modeling.
Manage and organize contracts for Participations liability according to the latest programming slate.
Analyze distribution agreements and allocate revenue accordingly.
System testing and implementation of new process improvements.
Assist in residuals and profit participations audits.
Position will interact frequently with various departments and positions across the company.

Qualifications & Experience

Degree in Accounting or Finance and 2 years' experience in related field preferred.

You'll be responsible for our payment system, tax systems, customer subscription systems and more
Partner with our different stakeholders across our businesses to ensure that we are building class-leading payment solutions
Staying abreast of trends in the payment technology industry to ensure we are taking advantage of any technologies which would enhance the experience of our subscribers and potentially drive more subscriptions
Writing highly efficient and high-quality code with proper code coverage and automation testing
Ensure that our non-functional requirements are class-leading and that we are exceeding expectations as we deliver them

**** YOU **** NEED

Golang experience. We are almost exclusively GOlang so you should be proficient in GOLang or similar languages (Rust, etc). We are looking for someone who can confidently step in and contribute from day 1
Deep experience working with external APIs/partners. A large part of your job will be integrating with partners both internally and externally. You should be confident in your ability to establish and maintain data contracts and ensure forwards and backwards compatibility
Understanding of commerce technology in general. You should have some exposure to industry leaders like Stripe, Adyen, Braintree and understand how the general commerce ecosystem works
Innovative Mindset: A passion for exploring new technologies and frameworks to improve product performance and elevate user experience

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $121,500.00-165,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. You'll be assisting with designing and architecting solutions for the future of tech stack which powers the entitlement platform
Partner with our different stakeholders across our businesses to ensure that we are building class-leading payment solutions
