We're looking for a competent/professional videographer local to Detroit to shoot some real-life (casual, relaxed) interviews and/or focus groups. While this post is for a 1-day project - we are looking for a go-to shooter for jobs down the road as the need arises.
Should be a professional who's as comfortable with corporate folk as ordinary Americans, who has their own equipment - a simple run and gun kit (no lighting necessary): a professional compact video camera recording at least two hours without stopping - to solid-state media (DSLRs are not suitable for this type of shoot). Good camera examples are Sony's HXR, PXW, XDCAM, NXCAM, F or Canon's XF, XA, C series, Panasonic AG, HC, AJ series, etc.
Also necessary are: onboard / shotgun mic, wireless lav mic kit, monopod and tripod.
Typical pay starts at $650 / day DOE and shoot details.
+ expenses (mileage, parking, etc).
