The Wardrobe Assistant works as a liaison between the Headquarter Production team and the onsite Operations team. Reporting to the Wardrobe Lead, you will be a part of the team ensuring all wardrobe elements are received, executed, cleaned, maintained, and struck in adherence to schedule, budget, and creative intent. This is a dynamic and demanding role that requires a high level of proficiency in entertainment event wardrobe operations, adaptability, and collaboration.
COMMITMENT DURING SEASON:
Must be prepared to work each day of the Load-in, Install, Run-of-Show, Strike and Load-out, including weekends.
This includes the holiday season: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day
Work hours may vary depending on site needs and operating hours.
Travel may be required.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:
Execute all wardrobe elements in line with the established creative intent and HQ Production plan.
Review wardrobe designs, inventory, and operational requirements; identify and work with Wardrobe Lead and HQ production team on any gaps in design or operational planning.
Organize onsite Wardrobe workshop and storage plans.
Participate in wardrobe fittings with the cast and team.
Support and maintain the overall wardrobe operational plan for maintenance, repair, and inventory.
Communicate and collaborate any onsite production changes to the Wardrobe Lead, HQ Production team, and corresponding departments.
Communicate and coordinate with onsite vendors as needed.
Assist with local purchasing needs for any adjustments onsite as needed.
Assist with onsite alterations and repairs as needed.
Inventory onsite wardrobe assets and maintain records of any damage.
Ensure quality checks on all costumes prior to show and perform necessary alterations; report any issues to the Wardrobe Lead and HQ Production team.
Provide laundry and dry-cleaning support for the duration of the event, in accordance with HQ Production standards.
Assist with the management of operational uniforms.
Perform textile décor repairs/craft work as needed.
Collaborate with the Operations team on the distribution and tracking of additional operational uniform textile pieces as needed.
Document as-installed adjustments to the design and create documentation where none exists.
Ensure all suppliers and crew follow site safety regulations and protocols.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:
Experience in: events & entertainment, theater & stage shows, art exhibit installations, and/or trade shows & conventions.
Advanced knowledge of wardrobe.
Proficient in working with industrial sewing machines, walking foot machines, sergers, and pressing equipment.
Proficient in: Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Smartsheets, and Slack.
Strong communication and collaboration.
Highly organized and detail oriented.
Self-driven.
Understanding of event installation methodologies: tools, equipment, materials, and processes.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Our venues span over 100,000 square feet.
Must be able to frequently walk and stand for long durations.
Enchant is an outdoor event, and subject to local winter weather.
