Seeking Wardrobe Assistant / Coordinator to start on/around December 20, 2021, for a live, daily early morning talk/news show. MUST be ready, willing, and able to work EARLY mornings (5:00am daily call time) in NYC - lower Manhattan. Must be reachable in the evenings and weekends for occasional last minute changes.
The job may extend beyond 3-4 months. This is a show with a small team. An enthusiastic can-do attitude and punctuality rank high in the requirements of the position.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Provide 2-3 wardrobe options for each host per day.
Last looks on-set for wardrobe - make adjustments as needed on hosts prior to air and during live show.
Assistance on-set for wardrobe changes within live broadcast.
Coordinate with the production team and provide consultation and feedback on the host wardrobe.
Consult with the production team, hosts and HMU on segment-specific and holiday-specific wardrobe and costumes.
Research and source solutions for wardrobe concerns including clothing, storage, cleaning, and organization.
Maintain wardrobe and accessories (cleaning, steaming, shoe polishing, etc.).
Purchases, returns, manage p-card expenses, POs, and timely reconciliation of all receipts.
Wardrobe pickups and drop-offs between studio and storage a few times per month.
Maintain wardrobe, jewelry and costume inventory.
Manage out-of-circulation wardrobe (donate, recycle, etc.).
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
Prior experience as a Wardrobe Assistant in television environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as a team player
Enthusiastic, focused, motivated, and proactive by nature
Consistently punctual
Adept at prioritizing tasks and remaining calm and productive under pressure
Patient, flexible, and nimble with last minute changes
