Job Description
Fandango is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at level 2 for our Rewards team. As a level 2 SDET working on our systems and services, you will build automated functional and performance tests to ensure quality in projects and systems critical to Fandango's business. We expect our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic about taking on new problems across our businesses as we continue to build great experiences for fellow movie fans.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain automated functional and performance tests for the web applications and services created by the Rewards team
- Work side-by-side with the development team to understand the software architecture
- Interact with Product Managers, developers and other Quality Engineers to deliver high quality, high profile software and user experiences
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, retros, sprint planning, etc)
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
• 2+ years of professional experience as a software QA engineer or SDET working in a back end or full-stack capacity
• Experience with multi-tier architecture with scalability, performance
• Experience in writing PL/SQL, Shell, Python or Perl scripts to automate testing tasks
• Familiar with Git or other source code control systems
• Experience in developing tools/scripts to aid in testing client/server communication
• Familiarity with XML/HTML
• Experience in JavaScript, Java or Python
• Experience working in an agile/Scrum environment
• Complete and thorough knowledge of the SDLC and testing methodologies
• Working knowledge of relational databases
• Familiar with RESTful APIs, microservices, and/or service-oriented architectures
