Job Summary/Description:

**** is looking for a dynamic evening anchor. We are looking for a leader to anchor evening newscasts and help lead our evening team. We are looking for a journalist who is determined to help our station win on every platform every single day. Our next anchor will be a strong journalist who also will report on some of the biggest stories in the state. We are looking for an experienced anchor /reporter who is determined to find hard news lead stories. This is not a position for a prompter reader or feature reporter. We are looking for someone who already knows how to work a beat and develop sources. Investigative reporting experience is a strong plus. This anchor will be a big part of our investigative unit and will be expected to turn promotable special reports.

Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited, to:

- Anchoring newscasts as assigned
- Live reporting daily for multiple newscasts
- Shooting, writing, and editing hard new promotable stories

Qualifications/Requirements:

Ideal candidate should have at least 5 years experience as an anchor for a broadcast news station or news website. Job Summary/Description:

**** is looking for a multi *** reporter to join our team. We need a candidate who can enterprise lead stories, not pitch the news release of the day. We want someone to report hard news stories our viewers can't get anywhere else. Be prepared to write FOIA requests, examine documents and agendas and find stories that truly matter to people. In addition to generating story ideas, you must have the ability to report, shoot and edit video on your own. Be prepared to run your own live shots every day. You will respond to breaking news and embrace a culture of urgency. We report news on every platform, so you will also post web stories/ pictures/ video to serve our digital and social audience.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

**** News has two openings for Fall 2023 News Interns! The selected intern will have the opportunity to gain real-world newsroom experience and learn how the News is produced from start to finish through observational learning and hands-on training. If you are studying journalism, mass communications, communications, or a related field and want to experience the world of news firsthand, then this is the place to learn! This paid internship opportunity is located at **** News in Charleston, SC.

What to Expect:

• No day is the same. If you excel in an active, fast-moving environment and have the drive to learn the many different areas of News production, this position is perfect for you
• You will work with reporters, anchors, producers, editors, and photographers, in-house and out in the field
• You will receive training on various topics including how to produce a news segment from the control room, how to research and pitch a great story, how to operate camera equipment, what shots matter, and more

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Must be attending an accredited college or university or is a recent college graduate
• Willing to work approximately 15 hours a week for 10 weeks, beginning in September 2023 **There may be a variety in hours due to our news programming schedules**

Job Summary/Description:

****-TV is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to work closely with the Chief Engineer in oversight of all studio operations, technical maintenance and signal transmission. This hands-on supervisory position in a fast- paced local news environment requires excellent communication skills and an ability to maintain composure in high stress situations. A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including on call status, and knowledge of FCC rules and regulations required. Minimum of 5 years TV broadcast engineering experience in RF/Microwave, digital technologies and equipment maintenance preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Assist Chief Engineer in all engineering aspects of the technical facility including studio support, post editing systems, field production support and transmission of live/taped events and programs.
• Assist in overseeing and implementing Engineering projects and staffing.
• Manage the maintenance and repair of the towers, antennas, and transmission lines/connections.
• Manage the maintenance and repair of all company facilities associated with our station. This includes HVAC, generators, security systems, satellite dishes, electrical, hardware, etc.
• Performs regular maintenance tasks including repairs, equipment replacement, supplies, etc.
• Documents and executes necessary corrective actions.
• To be able to perform the Chief Engineering duties in his absence

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Have expert knowledge regarding broadcast news equipment, transmitters, microwaves, satellite, and IT streaming equipment.
• Have working knowledge of the latest operating systems software, including server and desktop operating systems.
• Must be available to work during breaking news situations, severe weather, new system integrations and updates, and provide on call services 24/7.
• Must be able to insert and remove control room rack equipment weighing 25-50 pounds with the help of another employee.
• Familiar with networking routing and IP addressing.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to operate and adapt in high pressure situations
• Self-starter to lead projects from start to finish in a timely manner
• Must have 5 years of working experience in broadcast engineering
• Managerial or supervisory experience desired
• A Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related is preferred
