Internship Details :

• Each internship is for 16 hours per week for 15 weeks
• Will be well supervised and participate in a meaningful learning experience
• Upon completion of the internship, the student will be evaluated through a written review by the internship supervisor

Requirements & Skills :

• M ust be senior in their last year of concentrated study
• Be of advanced skill level due to complexity of projects
• Expected to work two eight hour shifts per week
• A collaborative worker with a willingness to learn
• Previous internship experience a plus

Job Summary/Description:

****-TV is searching for a skilled journalist to join our Columbus newsroom as an anchor/reporter. The chosen candidate will co-anchor the weekend morning news with ample fill-in opportunities for weekday anchoring. The shift includes reporting three days out of the week. We are searching for an eager candidate who is looking to grow while contributing to the area's #1 news source.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

* Ability to tell complicated stories with "liveability" required
* Must possess a strong understanding of daily newscast content and work in conjunction with producers to develop a dynamic product

The Studio Technician operates various equipment (camera, audio, visual, graphics, lighting, or digital) used for production and/or transmission.

• Collaborate with the director and studio staff to coordinate the action in the studio or while out on location
• Collaborate with the set designers to determine the needs of the production
• Build and decorate set and/or provide props used for production
• Assist in the installation, operation and maintenance of sound recording equipment
• Provide camera, and audio/lighting production support as needed, and may work with outside production facilities
• Assist in digital *** productions, liaising with appropriate departments
• Maintains and stores equipment and studio maintenance

Requirements & Skills :

• High School Diploma Required
• Experience in television, film or post production preferred
• Must be able to interact well with video journalists, anchors, videographers, news managers, production and engineering staff

The Sales Assistant works within established Sales Department guidelines to maximize station revenue opportunities from an order entry, traffic and accounting perspective. The Sales assistant is also responsible for performing all clerical functions required by department personnel as needed.

Job Summary/Description:

Working with the news department to code and present newscasts (Overdrive operation). EAS and transmitter logging to keep the station in FCC compliance and other duties as assigned. On-the-job training will be provided. Ingesting shows and commercials for later playback, playing back and monitoring shows and commercials for *** , *** , and *** .

• Overdrive operation, coding and playing of live local newscasts for both *** and *** news affiliates
• Running EAS tests so as to keep the station in FCC compliance, monitoring transmitters and taking accurate readings
• Ability to monitor and fix problems with logs, (Crispin - Loading Dock)
• Working with news to produce Live newscasts, Operation of Overdrive
• Ability to work weekends and duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Live Newscast experience, MCR/MCO experience, ingesting show and commercial material
• Great communication skills and problem-solving ability under pressure
• Knowledge of AP ENPS, Ross Overdrive, Carbonite, Crispin, VizRT Graphics and VizTicker, Bitcentral Precis, and Panasonic PTZ Cameras
