As an Assistant Promotions Producer, you will assist with the development of on-air, online, and on-location promotional events.
97.1 The Fan is the flagship station for all Ohio State Athletics as well as NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets and the MLS Columbus Crew. The Fan is also the Columbus home for Cleveland Browns football. Responsibilities:
• Assist with the development of on-air, online and on-location promotional elements.
• Coordinates fulfillment needs with sales executives regarding scheduling all client related promotions, appearances, and events.
• Executes station events/promotions including set-up and tear down.
• Assists the Content Director with social *** posts and station branded email blasts.
• Assist in the training, scheduling, and development of Fan Team members.
• Create front page slide graphics and schedule rotation in accordance with on-air and promotional calendars.
• Creation and maintenance of station-driven or sales-driven social *** posts, website/app campaigns and providing proof of performance.
• Update/coordinate all information on the stations website promotions page including, but not limited to, the promotions event list, photographs/video, promotional blurbs, and contests.
• Create contest web page with registration and official rules.
• Utilize social *** outlets including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, to promote station events, appearances, contests, and on-air content in line with the stations strategic plan.
• Schedule station Fan-Alerts as needed.
• Solicits quotes and ideas for department/station promotional items. Provide recommendations to the Promotions Director based on need, budget, and station brand.
• Ability to execute station "live" broadcasts on remote location.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment to correct problems that may arise while on location.
• Responsible for the testing of broadcast equipment and internet lines.
• Ability to operate wireless microphone/ sound system for events/appearances.
• Maintaining an inventory of promotional items and keeping the items organized.
• Working with technology/operations to keep remote equipment organized and accounted for.
• Provide copy for talent regarding all on-site promotions/contests.
• Creates graphics for promotions events and social *** .
• Responsible for operating company vehicles, must be able to meet the company driver safety policy requirements.
• Assists with the development of creative promotional concepts for online, on-site, and on-air promotions.
• Cross-trains other department positions and can perform additional responsibilities when necessary.
• Acts as a supervisor when Promotions Director is unavailable.
Job Requirements:

• A college degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field is preferred
• 1-3 years of outdoor promotions, marketing, or customer ser *** experience
• Reliable and dependable; must be willing to work mandatory weekends
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and social *** platforms
• Effective communication skills in an active environment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the demonstrated ability to prioritize and effectively meet deadlines
• Current, valid driver's license, proof of insurability, and excellent driving record with the ability to operate
