Job Description
The Team:
The Technology & Operations department provides Technical Support, Engineering, *** Operations, Production and Studio servicesfor the New Jersey/New York based *** U Local duopoly *** / *** News Organization. The Technology team has responsibility for partnering with our stakeholders to build, deploy and support the systems powering our content production operations in Fort Lee, New Jersey and 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
The Job:
Reporting to the Director of Technology, the Systems Engineer will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering internal customer-oriented solutions, mission critical platforms, and ensuring the highest levels of availability and performance. The role will suit individuals who are excited by the opportunity to work on transitioning **** to a new custom-built facility in the iconic 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
Responsibilities:
- Provide troubleshooting & support for infrastructure, systems and applications, including root cause analysis, working with internal / external support teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Help evaluate and optimize workflows related to all *** production systems including video networking, editorial tools, edit, *** asset management, encode / decode platforms, distribution systems and other workflow tools.
- Deploy and manage infrastructure including virtualized Windows & Linux environments in both on prem & cloud.
- Participate in testing, deploying and operationalizing new technology and upgrades.
- Develop and maintain SOP's and system documentation for operational and troubleshooting purposes.
- Other duties as deemed necessary.
- Salary Range: 75k-95k/annually
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Broadcast Engineering or similar with 3+ years' experience preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
