JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties/Responsibilities
- Manage and closely monitor Traffic systems, adjusting available inventory to maximize revenue potential.
- Use WideOrbit software to ensure proper placement of ads based on their specific requirements.
- Format programming and maintain inventory codes.
- Ensure all broadcast logs are FCC compliant and are of the highest quality.
- Review and discuss station inventory with Sales Managers, especially during tight time periods.
- Communicate closely with News Producers on format changes.
- Monitor commercial inventory to ensure proper billing.
- Create and manage reports in conjunction with Sales and Finance teams.
- Monitor credit memos in coordination with Sales and Traffic teams.
- Promptly process program and schedule changes.
- Continually identify areas for improvement.
- Serve as station liaison for all WideOrbit issues.
- Serve as "on-call" contact for Traffic issues outside non-scheduled work hours as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with all other departments.
- Prepare for and attend interdepartmental meetings.
- Train, develop, and motivate Traffic team.
- Demonstrate responsibility for all equipment issued by *** .
- Comply with all *** Corporate computer requirements.
- Comply with all *** Corporate and station policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Experience with WideOrbit software.
- Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under daily pressure and successfully manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of (3) years of traffic management experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Radio/TV, or related discipline preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
- Regularly stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
