**** in Steubenville, OH/Wheeling, WV has a great opportunity for you! We are seeking a full time Operations Supervisor to join our team.

Responsibilities include:

• Supervise Master Control Operators and Newscast Directors
• Insure the overall technical and operational success of the station's programming
• Work with the News, Traffic, Programming, and Sales departments to resolve any issues that might affect Master Control Operations and Newscasts
• Scheduling Master Control Operator and Directing shifts to ensure coverage
• Verify that all content is available and ready to air, maintain required logs, and uphold station standards and FCC compliance by monitoring the station's technical performance
• The Operations Supervisor is also responsible for the technical competence of the Master Control Operators and will be expected to facilitate ongoing training in order to maintain high standards
• Training and Competence of Newscast Directors using Grass Valley Ignite system
• Assisting Engineering and Operations Manager on operations and maintenance of ****9 production truck for local televised events.
• Working with Operations Manager on special projects for the TV station.
• Working Master Control and Directing shifts as needed.
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Skills
Requirements include:

• Experience in television master control operations and newscast directing including air switching live programs
• You must also have experience with computer automation systems, television satellite systems, VTRs, server based ingest and playback systems, Microsoft office products, and file based ingest and playback servers
• Dependable and detail oriented
• Communicate effectively and work well with others
• Be able to follow instructions with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of computers and an aptitude for operating electronic equipment is preferred
• This salaried position requires 24 hour on-call status and various operating shifts including weekends and holidays

****-TV, in Steubenville, OH, is seeking a dependable full-time Production Technician/Master Control Operator with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Broadcast Operations to include setting up, controlling and monitoring television broadcast equipment to transmit television programs and commercials to the viewing audience.
• On-air switching, dubbing and transferring programs.
• Gathering satellite feeds for broadcast use.
• Non-linear editing
• Directing
• Support the production of newscasts and other live or taped programming for television and multi-platform uses.
• Preparation and operation of equipment (before, during and after live newscasts)
• Support the production of newscasts and other live or taped programming for television and multi-platform use
• Support operation of the station by assisting Engineering, News, and other departments
• Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will be versatile and capable of learning specialized software applications and have an aptitude for operating electronic equipment. You must have great attention to detail, excellent computer skills, and must be able to work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Experience with automation helpful
• Avid experience a plus
• Ability to work independently as well as with others is essential
• A background in TV production and a degree in radio/television or communications are preferred

General Hours: Full-time position as assigned, to include mornings, days, overnights, evenings and weekends.
