ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:

Televisa *** is seeking a Photographer and Editor to shoot video and audio of news and other events for TV productions, both live and recorded. Edit material to match scripts using non-linear, computer-based editing on our facilities, or via mobile equipment from remote locations.

This Position is under IBEW-ENG

YOUR DAY-DAY:

Shooting and editing assigned and breaking news stories using ENG camera and non-linear editing equipment, with or without reporter.
Shoot and edit special assignments and series as needed.
Provide pictures and short/snap videos from the field for our Social *** platforms
Set Up Live U equipment for Live Remote Shoots .
Assist video editor/acquisitions in editing and preparing video for newscasts as assigned, using server-based editing and playback system.
Operate and maintain news vehicles and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
Perform routine maintenance and light troubleshooting on assigned equipment.
Might be required to upload video, digital pictures, and copy to the station's website.
Might be required to travel for special assignments and coverage.
Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

YOU HAVE:

Strong storytelling and problem-solving skills.
Must be able to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Must be able to multi-task and communicate effectively.
Self-motivated, well organized and with excellent personal interaction skills.
Detail oriented, able to follow directions and make independent decisions
Able to work flexible hours, including holidays, weekends and evenings, as well as during inclement weather such as Hurricanes.
2 or more years working as news photographer in a TV news or similar environment, preferred.
Personal computer experience required, including non-linear editing.
Knowledge of lighting techniques will be a plus.
Candidate will have continuous interaction with news reporters and other photographers. Candidate will work closely with producers, assignment desk editors, video editors and chief photographer.
Will have constant interaction with engineering and production departments, and will be in daily contact with the public, as well as local, state and federal officials.
High School Diploma required.
College degree or technical school training in Journalism, Radio/Television, Production/ENG or related field, preferred.

YOUR DAY-DAY:

You will be researching, planning, and developing story ideas for our newscasts, as well as bringing breaking stories to air.
You will gather information from several broadcasts and online sources to determine coverage opportunities.
You will Coordinate our crews in their news gathering and production process, making and confirming appointments with interviewees as well as providing accurate address and contact information to news crew.
.You will monitor law enforcement and fire communications, check wires, and make beat-checks to determine coverage of spot news and special reports.
You will maintain the iNews tool updated with crew's locations and timelines.
You will participate in editorial meetings and supervise video feeds.
You will research potential show topics and book guests for show.
You will work flexible hours, including holidays, weekends and evenings.

YOU HAVE:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
1-2 year minimum experience in general market or Spanish language television station as a News Assignment Editor and/or Producer preferred.
Bilingual in English/Spanish verbal and written skills
Excellent and grammatically accurate Spanish language skills - both written and oral
Ample knowledge of television production and News gathering equipment and computer systems required

Activations Technician-seasonal

ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:

Televisa *** Local *** is currently seeking for dynamic Activations Technicians who will contribute in station branding promotional activities for both radio and television. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, bilingual, and have a flexible schedule. The Activations Technician will be part of a team which will execute various activities for special events and station appearances. This will include Interfacing with clients, listeners, and public during off site promotional activities. The Activations technicians must be able to collaborate creatively with the Sales, Programming & Promotions staff.

YOUR DAY-DAY:

Collaborate in the preparation of activations and other tasks such as organization of inventory, station props and station equipment.
Set Up & breakdown radio & TV station promotional activities (community events/branded station events/concerts/station activities).
Setup promotional items, banners, tables, tents and sound equipment for remotes, special events and station appearances as well as able to conduct on-site contests, games and other promotional activities as needed. Assist the On-Air Talent and Sales Executives.
Conduct on-air announcements in Spanish from remote and station appearance.
Conduct database collection - Set Up iPad & Download data collected.
Provide customer ser *** by ascertaining the client needs before and during any event. Greet listeners and distribute prizes to winners.
Abide by organizational norms, support organizational goals and help foster collaboration and teamwork.

YOU HAVE:

Must be highly motivated, assertive, creative, and proactive
Must have excellent interpersonal/customer ser *** skills
Must be able to lift 50-70lbs
Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
