Job Summary/Description:
**** is looking for a weekday evening newscast producer who is a self starter with good news judgement. A successful candidate will be able to select stories , build newscast rundown, edit video and write content for 6p and 10p half hour newscast. This position is based in our main Tyler facility.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Selecting local, state and national stories to air in weekday evening newscast
- Building show rundowns
- Communicating and assisting field reporters
- Editing stories
- Writing
- Computer skills
- Required to work weekends, holidays and evenings as necessary
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Journalism degree or similar is preferred
- Internship or relevant experience/skillsets
- Must be an avid news consumer who thrives under tight deadlines
- Professional non-linear editing knowledge
- Ability to communicate and work well in a team environment
- Experience with ENPS and Edius video editing a plus, but not required
