RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct live, fast-paced newscasts as well as webcasts and other programs using the Sony ELC automated production system.
- Served as Assistant Director for newscasts and other programs.
- Perform as audio operator and studio support as needed.
- Work closely with producers and the news department on developing high-quality, technically clean newscasts and programs.
- Apply technical expertise and creative style to crafting interesting productions within accepted guidelines and standards.
- Direct and/or provide production support for special sports and entertainment programs, including both studio and remote productions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least three years of directing and/or technical directing in a broadcast news environment.
- College degree or equivalent preferred
- Experience with automated production systems desired.
- Sony ELC experience preferred.
- Ability to multitask in a live news broadcast environment.
- Working knowledge of control room and studio equipment
- Experience with newsroom computer systems. iNews preferred.
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to function well in a team environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and time management.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent computer skills on common computer platforms
- Willing and able to work any shift in a 24/7/365 working environment, including weekends, overnights, and holidays.

Hiring Salary Range: $26.92 - 33.65.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
