Our *** are considered one of the foremost motion picture and television production and post-production facilities in the world. They inform, engage, and transport audiences to new worlds. The key to that lies with our Studio Operations group, which includes areas like soundstage/backlot set rentals, events, design, culinary, construction, landscaping and much more. Your New Role...Data I/O facilitates all digital and physical *** deliveries *** ween clients, internal systems and storage volumes and works directly with engineering and operations.
The Data I/O Operator is responsible for reading and writing of data to various *** formats. The Data I/O Operator will be handling data and content throughout the building, across multiple platforms and equipment configurations. This role is a key coordinator of the flow of content and data in, out and throughout the building and coordinating data movement and storage usage across multiple storage volumes, providing data backup for operations activities and other duties as required.
Your Role Accountabilities...- Provide prompt and secure handling of all material received and sent from the facility.
- Log, track, QC,and communicate with production teams after receiving delivery materials.
- Expedite work orders for both picture and audio departments.
- Ensuring *** management and archiving protocols and procedures are adhered to.
- Digital file transmission using Aspera Faspex and ASCP programmes, Signiant, etc.
- Managing of disk space within the storage environment for a large scale post-production facility.
- Develop scripts and/or programmes to automate operations and simplify processes.
- File manipulation including renaming and renumbering metadata information.
- Interact directly with client facing personnel to establish scope of data work required and to architect an appropriate workflow for each production.
- Enforce retention policies; monitor storage volumes to prolong disk health.
- Work directly with the engineering department to troubleshoot and remedy equipment issues.
- Adhere to established and approved in house workflows for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and archiving content.
- Check the integrity of all incoming and outgoing video and audio signals and monitoring the performance of operational systems.
Qualifications & Experience- Working knowledge of Mac OS, Linux, Unix and Windows for mounting of drives, formatting and encryption read/write.
- Ability to use standard Unix commands for file system hierarchy and navigating online, launching command line scripts, naming conventions and file permissions.
- Knowledge of Baselight, Flame, Adobe Creative Cloud, AVID, Pro tools, Clipster, Transkoder and various standard post-production systems and platforms.
- Good working knowledge of digital cinema workflow, camera types and formats, codec's, framerates, colour spaces and industry standard deliverable formats.
- Ability to recognise different file formats/image size resolutions for file processing and quality control.
- Must learn quickly and have a keen eye for detail, the ability to problem solve, multi-task and work well in high pressure environment.
- Work a flexible schedule; weekend and evening shifts are possible.
- Good level ofknowledge of all delivery formats is essential for this role as is a good understanding of the post-production process & technical requirements for international delivery.
- Maintain data integrity and standards compliance checks using in-house and third-party tools.
- Excellent working knowledge of Aspera and other secure file transfer networks and platforms.
- Technical and data support and tracking with a full understanding of tapeless workflows.
- Must have experience with EDL's, OMF/AAF's, various QuickTime codecs, etc.
- Good working knowledge of digitising, transcoding, logging, syncing and grouping.
- Experience as an Assistant Editor and/or *** Operator.
- Exposure to processes and etiquette around high end episodic television drama and studio feature films.

*** De Lane Lea is an award-winning picture and sound post-production facility in the heart of Soho, combining the most advanced technology with skilled talent to provide an exceptional post production experience.
Based in a brand-new, purpose-built facility in the stunning new Ilona Rose House development in Soho, *** De Lane Lea is home to the largest mixing stage in the UK and facilities include sound mixing stages, grading theatres, a full mastering department, ADR facilities and cutting rooms. *** De Lane Lea also has additional facilities based at *** *** Leavesden including a 48 seat 4K Screening Room, 4K VFX Review Theatre and a Dailies department with dark-fibre connectivity to Soho.
With more than 70 years' experience in the post production business, *** De Lane Lea has worked with many of the world's greatest talents on some of the most memorable productions including the Mission Impossible franchise, Wonder Woman, Gravity and the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts film series'.
